Now I gotta fix all the other issues. Why can't these harness makers make a harness where the wires line up right. One doesn't have amp wore right. This one doesn't have the dimmer wire right, . Now I gotta pull it all apart and fix it. Grrr

Are you using the GM24 or OS311? i've used both and had no problems with wiring configurations.

my issues were. the steering wheel control, also made by pac didnt work right. but did with the Scosche GM13SR. the dimmer with the pac connects stright to dimmer wire of car, doesnt work, on the Scosche GM13SR it goes to modual first and does work. i forget what other issues i had. i tried everything to make this thing work, but it just doesnt wanna. so im going back to Scosche GM13SR the pac didnt solve my speaker noise with smartstart anyway. im gonna try to ground to different place or noise filter see what happens.

you could try running a wire from that ground location to the new ground your going to install for the HU. i would try re-grounding the HU first to an area that's not bolted on but actually a welded piece of the car. then if that doesnt work running a ground from that area to the alarm ground (preferablly without removing the alarm ground which may be a lil tricky

I believe the head unit uses the factory ground that goes through the bcm. Only thing I got grounded to car body is video bypass and ebrake. The rest goto the harness. Maybe it's same issue I had in y talon with exhaust temp gauge, no matter where I grounded it , didn't work till I grounded it straight to battery negative, then it worked. Almost wanna try that

right well the harness ground is **** im sure so upgrading that to a run to the battery directly or a welded piece of sheet metal is the best bet. But ultimately the issue is probably a ground loop on the alarm end more then the radio end. having them both grounded to the same spot is probably what its going to take to solve the issue. only problem is removing the alarm ground may cause something to mess up with the alarm so if your running it thats going to be the tricky part. If your getting the installer to do it then you should be fine.

Id just do the HU ground first because it doesnt matter as much that way if it solves the problem you wont have to touch the alarm at all

Ya ill try that. Ill run a ground to the batt as much as I hate doing that cause its a pain. And if I have to do the alarm, it shouldn't be to hard to keep it grounded while I do it. I just gotta find the alarm brain, I believe I know where it is.
