radar detector....

ok guys and gals, im looking for a good radar detector that doesnt break the bank..... any suggestions?

any 12 band cobra is reliable and very inexpensive. theres going to be members on here talking about those that are more advanced but in turn more expensive. i think the escort is one of those that make really nice detectors but are significantly more expensive

depends on how much you are willing to spend. i have an escort 8500 x50 and love it. have had it for over 4 years and never had problems with it.

Whistler pro 78, or anything by Bel or Escort. Avoid Cobra.

A few months ago I picked up a used Bel 980 before I went on vacation and it's amazing, very long range detection and even though it's a slightly older model, I haven't had a single issue with it. It has saved me on several of occasions.

Anyways, I just got a great deal on an Escort 8500, the same model CD5 is talking about. So I'll be selling the Bel 980 if you're interested. I even have a brand new hard-wire kit that I had ordered for it that I'll throw in with it... $85 shipped.

the escort x50 in my personal opinion. i only got rid of it because i got a killer deal on a one month old valentine one!
