Get a CAN interface module, not only is it much better, it makes installation a breeze. They interface directly with the computer and your alarm wires to it instead of going directly to the cars wires. Saves time, looks better, and is alot safer. idatalink is a good example of a CAN bus interface module.

As for the starter only working sometimes, I have no idea where the problem would be since I dont know how the installer installed it. The ignition in these cars is different then most, as the computer starts the car and not you when you turn the key. You will have to take it back to who ever installed it and ask them, most of us here cant help because there is so much that could be going wrong or setup wrong and we don't know the details of how it was installed.

Just put a spare key in it,and call it a day.Its a universal transponder bypass kit.
