I am confused. What type of Sirius unit are you all trying to install? Mine works great. Just added an FM Modulator on the antenna wire, select a "clean" FM station to transmit the signal from the Sirius unit and BAM!!, Howard 100, 101 all day.

Thank you, that makes sense now. I wanted the plug in play headunit cause I use it @ the office and in the car.

I don't think you will be able to get it to work with the stock head unit. The stock head unit is GMLAN exclusively. The sat radio is GM LAN as well.

You are gonna have to go aftermarket head unit if you are set on getting the display in the head unit.

i recently did a sirus install for a durango with a alpine but no aux in.... all he got was the xm kit and the wired anenna module. It worked great and will work with any vehicle reguardless of head unit. Honestly i would get one of those before spending any kind of cash on any of these other "gm interfaces"

This is part of the GMLan system where everything talks to the car's computer, and I mean everything!

So assuming you have all of the pin outs correctly, take your car to your GM service center and have them use Tech2 to have the car's computer see if it can see, connect and adapt to the new sirius module. They may say no, but just tell them to do it. And only they have access and the tools to do this. There isn't anything available for us to do this at home.

For the sake of technicality, I only see this working if there isn't much involved with the GM LAN system communicating with the unit and if the Radio Unit itself is able to interact with the satellite radio unit to change channels, receive signal, yadda yadda.
Ive brought my cobalt to 2 dealers now and asked them to add the sirius device, they had no clue what im talking about. not onyl that, but this thing killed my battery multiple times over night - ive pretty much ended working on this project unless somebody else makes some kind of headway.

i dont think so because the controler for the station on which the radio transmits is within the sirus device not the wired transmittor. But i bet you could find one with a headphoen "input" that you could wire the zune up to
