not sure how a discussion about speakers went to subs but i guess it was the title. either way just an FYI the size of the driver isnt a good determining factor of anything. For all you preformance guys its just like the amount of cylinders in an engine

yea its a def price drop. usually you can pick up a good amp at a pawn shop, thats where i've gotten a few. i had gotten an 800watt kenwood amp that they mispriced for 100$ like new. i've got kickers and i've never had a problem with any kicker product. tho their grills to protect the subs are outrageously priced.

tho on that setup maybe he's overpriced for 275? probably like 150$ amp or so an 100$ subs max, so yea i guess he's actually in the ballpark. i could be wrong. check out the amp and the subs to make sure the impedance matches for best setup.

o yea, if you buy on craigslist you will also want to have a way of testing all product before leaving or giving the seller your money. if you get something that doesn't work, you may not ever see them again, some are verry shady.

I kinda want something cheap because it's for my winter car, but then I want something nice at the same time because they might end up going in the cobalt.

lol, nice and cheap. and cheap and nice. haha, i get it. if thats the case then i'd go with a brand that your comfortable with. most of the name brands will be reliable i think as long as you stay within the power band RMS. match it to your cobalt then if you want it to look good (in case it goes in the cobalt) that should set ya up pretty good. just really up to w/e your price range is then at that point.
