your opinions on rewinding an alt.

so my next upgrade is going to be a new alt...theres a 180a one I can get my hands on for around 350 shipped, but id rather get it rewound if thats a safe route to go....

so my question is....is it safe to do to the alt or will it cause the alt to overheat or any other issues

i thought there weren't any larger alt available for the cobalt and rewinding was the only option.

I'm 99% sure it will, I don't think they changed anything engine wise from 07-08 on the 2.2's or 2.4's

I think the only reason they do the 05-07 cut off is due to the LNF engine replacing the LSJ, (Turbo vs Supercharged). I don't think it applies to the lower models, engine wise at least.
Ask the guy who is selling them, just use the "ask the seller a question" right in ebay

I don't think anything is different because I used 07 parts in an 08 when I was working on cars. You should be safe.
