actually, the 13-14 WRX had a batch of bad cranks. The factory didn't debur them right so there were burs on the crankshaft journals. Lots of 13-14 WRX had rod bearing failures really early.
My wifes 2014 WRX had bearing material in her oil. Luckily we traded it in before it failed. but I know that subaru was having issues with those two years in particular.
They are good cars if modded correctly and you check your oil.

So then you don't know anything about ringland failure or spun rod bearings. Good you're "truth" is now invalid.
I must have gotten a good one as I haven't had any issues with mine yet and I'm coming up on 75k miles.

That seems to be the general consensus. One of my friends blew cylinder 2 ringlands on his STi but his plan from the get go when he did full bolt ons was see how much the stock block could take. 383 was the magic number

Funny thing about the bearing, the engine never knocked and the bearing never spun. Just took a beating.
