Of course we can go farther HP wise, but we have to give customers a safe, consistent tune. On our shop car, we were well past the MAF limit and tuned around it, but that was only good for dyno numbers. Don't picture this like it's your own car and you are messing around on the dyno, picture it like you have a customer waiting for you to get finished up so he can drive 10 hours to get home. It's a completely different situation.

wouldnt the easy way to get around the MAF issue be to get a larger MAF housing and rescale the readings? I honestly dont know a whole lot on the tuning side, but this is an option, isnt it?

Yes, which is what is already on the car. The MAF housing is 3.5" on our twincharge kit. We could go to a 4" tube, but the gains are diminishing considering the charge tubing is 2.5". We would need to make the MAF housing several inches long to gain a reasonable amount of headroom. Our electronic solution will allow a much larger MAF chart even with a 3" MAF housing.

would you just use a different MAF sensor? im curious.
know the LSJ MAF is the same one thats on the Z06, so i know its capable of reading up to 500bhp at least (im assuming GM gave a little headroom to work with), course i have no clue what size the housing is on a Z06 either

The Z06 tables also continue to a much higher frequency than the Cobalt tables, so they can already get much further with the same MAF in the same housing.

Not all of the $7200 was spent on Power Modification though. You must keep that in mind. Clutch, Brakes, and a few other things were upgraded.

Still, its a lot of money. But, if I had the money to spare, I'd probably spend most of it on my two cars. Haha.

Gotta stimulate the economy somehow!
