Gain ?....

Thinking about de-catting & throwing a Flowmaster on my 08 LT, what kind of hp/mpg gain are we looking @?

I'm not sure about the LT's, but for the SS/SC's, going catless makes it sound overbearingly loud is the opinion most people give, regardless of the catback setup.

General agreement is that the muffler on the SC is one of the most restrictive parts of the exhaust tho, so it could help there.

i'm just no good for #'s. sorry boss.

0-5 horsepower, .001 mpg to .15 mpg. And i'm not being a dick, that is literally what you can expect.

Less than 5HP. That a good enough answer?

Price vs performance is not there.

I think changing out the downpipe to something aftermarket would help more and be more cost effective

Not much gain other than a loud and smelly car. Larger downpipe and a high flow cat would be my recommendation.

There is a huge restriction in the exhaust manifold. Downpipe can be opened up a bit. Exhaust is probably a waste of money.

Oh and watch out on the 08 you might have secondary injection on your exhaust manifold so if you decide you might change it then look for the secondary injection pump.

I'd avoid going catless on the LT
