As I said, I would have no reservations about buying a WRX TR. Subie is a proven tuner car maker and the current gen WRX is not going to be the exception. It's a quick car for sure and it's going to be fun to squeeze some hp out of it. Again, sorry for screwing up your thread.

I went back and read what Euthanasia quoted and the comment of yours that he quoted was the 2nd quote of the thread. So how were "most people talking about from a roll"???? That is some mighty fine back pedaling.

He gave reasons as to why racing from a roll is lame. Don't get butthurt because you should just race calculators.

 

Your post doesn't even make sense, especially the last sentence. I'm backpedaling? Look where he posted it. When you think of meeting a car on the highway, I'm quite sure you don't stop and race from a dig, you go from a roll. And if you read the whole thread you would see that another member stated why racing from a roll is all but 'lame'.

With certain things she was right, in certain things she was not. It depends on the context she was referring to. From a dig on a quarter mile, the subby would most likely win. Suby Wrx Tr..well i have history with those cars...im 3-0 vs them and still havent lost to an Tr...

They are killer cars from DIG,IF the driver knws how to launch one..if they bog it(most do)u will NOT pull ahead,but they will by HALF car,and our 2nd gears pass them like if they never had the lead..from a roll.45-120,floor 2nd and shift at 6200(shift real fast)and once in 3rd u will keep pullin real slow away from them,till u get close to 100,and thats when u start to pull little bit harder(due to there AWD,top end suxs)

I myself was very accepting towards Katie, very nice to her. You read them and see for yourself. It was me and a few other frequent members who got into it with her. She wasn't called 'stupid' because she is a woman. hell Donna (1Badg1rl) is smart as hell. She has a dual charged balt with 10,000+ grand put in it. Another girl, AlleyCat, knows her stuff too. They're both highly respected members. It has nothing to do with her being a woman, its her as she portrays herself.

My husband and I have the exact 2 cars that they are talking about in this thread, so I must know a little bit of something since we have raced....and then to come on and say "Well, you just don't know how to drive." I already explained this in my 2nd "In Response: Test Drove An 06 SS/SC" thread....the first SS/SC that I was bashing drove completely different than the one I bought...I know how to drive, you all just don't want to believe it.

I'm going to leave it at that and let jewricer prove you all wrong some more.

For christ sakes you said the WRX TR and the WRX were 2 different models with different HP and Torque. You say your husband has every car my god. We're talking about a 06-07 WRX TR, which is different than the 04-05 models, and the TR is just a bare-bones version of the WRX, not a different model.

So again, there goes your credibility out the door yet again.

Jewricer also stated his opinion, which he is entitled to do. He proved no one wrong, simply stated how he felt.
We all know you side with jewricer, HE ALREADY SAID HE SIDED WITH YOU. Obviously if he sides with you, you're going to side with him.

You keep trying to make blanket statements about the WRX (which you obviously know little about since you think the TR and WRX are different platforms) that aren't true. Many of us are breaking the argument down further into dig and roll racing because each is useful when comparing a car. I'm not going to explain why because you don't even want to listen to what we have to say and actually educate yourself, you just want to spout off false information that you have somehow acquired. If you ever decide not to be bullheaded I'm sure your a cool person and could actually contribute here, until then your opinions are pretty useless.

 

The wording was a bit choppy. The TR is only from 06-07 models. I was aware. And she is trying to tell people what they meant to say. If you were to start a thread and say 'whats faster, this or this',a nd this has happened before, people will assume you're talking from a roll. Or they'll say 'Oh, from a roll you'll win, from a dig you'll lose," etc. When I chimmed in my opinion I took it as from a roll myself.

 

I should rephrase, I cannot speak for everyone on this site. But if you look in the war stories section. A decent number are them from a roll. But most everyone does a good part of dig and roll racing. But check out some fo the other forums in asking 'whats faster'. Roll does get thrown in there rather early usually. I don't have a specific example though, as I have not searched.
