Bad clutch?
Bad clutch?
When I WOT in first gear my car jerks a lot like it's losing power then regaining it. This has never happened before. Is this a possible bad clutch? I'm preparing for another race against my girlfriends charger rt and don't want this jerking to happen when I race him. What could possibly be wrong?
When clutches slip they don't usually slip/catch/slip/catch like that in the middle of a pull. Generally speaking, your rpm's will raise, but the car will basically go nowhere for the most part. Plus first gear is the least likely of gears for a clutch to slip under power, however I suppose it could be possible given the right conditions.
Sounds like something else is likely going on.

Just a CAI, carted dp, and muffler delete
I didn't even get to redline. And normal driving when I shifted to second gear

If it was slipping and then catching it would cause jerking my car did it to me when the clutch disc messed up. So that is why i'm using the term slipping. As far as his problem if it's just "jerking" then there are many problems it could be rather then just the clutch
You and me both but just trying to mark things off the list. It could be anything. What we need is a run down of any mods to the car, a better description of the problem, what kind of car it is as far as model.
It's like the car jerks back and fourth a lot until I shift. I don't know how else to explain it
