Boost actually was coming on 200rpm sooner (more lift and duration then stock everywhere)...and when it hit 6k **** got bonkers.

well this is just silly now isn't it.

why would someone come off and say that a water cooled turbo wouldn't have an effect on temperature?

ruining a turbo makes no one an expert, there are many idiots with fast cars, however properly planed out projects separate the ones who toss **** together from the people who know what there doing. I was a first to do several trick things on my set up, thus proving that i dident just toss **** together.

the only reason i dident say "a water cooled turbo wont change operating temps at all" is because some nut swinger would jump on here and say "thats impossible, it has to cuz its hot" and they in fact would be correct in the least bit.

the turbo is heating the coolant up ever so slightly, however our thermostat nor ECT sensor is accurate enough to pick up that raise in temperature. and it most certinally would not raise ECT's even 10deg let alone the 20+ hes reporting.

but you should know all this because you know turbos like me huh? You know that the center section often runs at 1/3 or less of the temp of the exhasut housing and that when dealing with a cross sectional area of fractions of an inch with pre-heated coolant that your heat transfer is going to be jack **** over the moment in time in which any given coolant is in said center section.

I'll talk to people like an adult when they prove to have the mental competence of one, you so far, have not done that.
Well as far as I'm concerned, you're a student without a degree yet... not an employee of a reputable company. Or does going to an engineering school suddenly equal working for a reputable company? Or are you speaking of your co-op? Hmm... co-ops and internships are not the same as a full time position.

Besides, your inability to read my previous post and continue to put words into my mouth completely destroys your credibility. Once again, read closely: Never said they'd raise it 20-40 degrees. Simply meant that the fact that it was a water cooled turbo would have a small effect on normal operating temperature.

Sounds to me that you just took offense to how I quoted your post. Now you have to show off your e-***** for everyone here. Big yawn. No one cares about your claim to fame as a co-op without a degree yet. Get over yourself.

yup big e0penis here.

you have issues with being proven wrong don't you?
I'm vary good at doing that to people, i specialize in people such as your self, thick headed, ignorant and always assumeing your correct.

attacking my credibility while not stating your own...interesting.

your conclusions and thoughts are much like your opinion, they don't matter nor are they correct.

none the less, I'm done here.

"Proven"? Where's the proof? All I saw was your statement backed by mysterious credentials (which turns out you're just a student anyway).

Besides, I didn't disagree with what you said. I explained myself and you ignored it and continued to debate a statement I didn't make.

As for my credentials, I actually have an engineering degree already. But then again, I didn't claim to be an expert like yourself.

Time to trade it in for a Honda!
Well according to the stealership, my headgasket is fine! The tech told me the frothing on the oil cap is from condensation from the erratic weather here in Wisconsin, 60 degrees one week and the next -10 degrees. I'm sure the thing will completely let go when my warranty expires!

i have the damn car in the garage trying to drain the coolant now but i cant find the drain porrt. my car has all the intercooler and pipes down there plus a tranny cooler attached so i dont know if thats why i dont see a drain port or not. anyone know exactly where the drain port is on the radiator?

the pic on page 2 shows it on the bottom in that hole area but how the hell does it come off?

i found the petcock or whatever its called but i dont see how it turns....

so now i guess i need a special petcock removal tool. pain in the ass lol

God some people have really gotten personal in this thread haven't they, and before you start going off on me I do have an associates in auto tech and 7 years dealership experience and have been working on cars and for over 15 years.

The petcock on new cars don't have the old style I guess knob as you would call it that you could turn with your fingers or a pair of pliers, I hav not looked at my balt's yet but most new gm's I've encountered have square hole which is intended to be turned by a 1/4 inch extension and ratchet, no socket just the square end of the extension. Did you ever check out and see if your fans are coming on at the proper time by the way. Another thing I was thinking about is your lower air damn still in place? I had an issue with one of my camaros where I ripped it off and didn't think it was gonna make much of a difference but it did make my temps go up a good 50 degrees cause it does direct the air into the radiator more efficently.
