Cobalt or 240sx?
240 is a sweet ass car, but realistically, the bang for the buck factor is almost none. You pay a premium for these cars because they are rare, and only because they are rare. Aside from that, in stock form, they are a low end, extremely old, entry level compact car. Then after you buy it, all you are really paying for is the platform, because you are going to need to rebuild the entire car if you want to make it fast (if you aren't purchasing one that is already modded, and most likely molested). You are going to be out a lot of money when you could choose a different platform, and make it way faster for way cheaper.
If money is not an issue, and it's the car of your dreams, I say go for the 240. Although, I would definitely start with a shell since it will need to be rebuilt anyways - will save labor and $$. If you have a car you can drive in the winter already, there is no reason why you need another FWD car, so IMO another cobalt should be completely out of the question if that is the case. Rare cars to me just seem a bit of a waste of money, but if you like it that much, then maybe it's worth it for you. My $0.02

You can buy built s14 koukis putting down 400 wheel minimum in pretty damn good shape for 11-12k range. When all braking. Suspension, and drivtrsin parts are changed mileage really isn't much of a factor anymore.
Maybe I just have a different idea of expensive lol.

To me the 240 is worth the extra price if you can find a clean one. There are still nice 240s driven by older people that come up for sale around me for almost nothing.
People will talk **** either way, buy what you like and have fun with it.
