well i got mine to 133mph and it was steady and it wasnt really near redline.

I was just estimating 140 i dont really know when it would of actually cut out.

It was accelrating so slow though it would have took forever to get to 140mph

 

you got some problems with your car then. these things rocket to 135 and it doesn't start inching until you pass 145mph

First Off let me Clearify , That i was Driving My Car , Not you Car .All Road Conditions / wind ect are not the same Why the **** would i lie , I was at around 147- 150 mark and tach was at 5800 And at that RPM its very slow for any futher gain . YES it will go Faster if you have all the road in the world . And Yes MINE Does get lighter feeling at those speeds , I never said it was un-safe But MY Car does feel lighter over 135 mph .

I'm Sorry , just tired of everyone , Expecting the exact same outcome of every car built , There are no 2 that will act the same , and all driving , road , weather , alltitude conditions , ect are different ..

 

 

Even the redlines feel extremely planted at that speed...I was honestly shocked at how stable it was. I've had mine to 5900 rpm in 5th...on a "closed tack" in MI...that iwth the redlines tires and gears works out to 154-155 mph. It maxed out the speedo at 140 ans I literally just held it to the floor until the rpm quit rising. I had just installed my K&N and washed it so I figred I'd take it for the "quick dry" hehe...to my dissappointment it didnt remove all the water.

you have some issues then cause that is way too high

i wouldn't call it the right car, you should take it to the shop cause it's got some serious issues. a 400-500 rpm difference on the same vehicles isn't a small amount, especially when people that have actually had their car up that fast agree with me.

Yeah dude, IF we had like 500hp I really belive our cobalts would top out at around 165. It climbs so slowly because the gearing is so low. And when the gearing is low, the higher top speed yoiu have
