yes insurance does cover that, under comprehensive. depending on your state, they might even replace it for free...

yup car insurance will pay for it. it will also depends on your deductable. if you call around for window replacements, ask if they cover the window for life.

my insurance covers it, but i have to pay the 500 decuctible.... cheaper to buy a windshield myself. you know... come to think of it... if i had to claim the front window... beings id be paying 500... i think i would smash out all the windows.... take out the seats and say it was a random act of terrorism against my car :-p

A GM windshield installed is about $525
An aftermarket windshield installed is about $450.

I manage a collision center and that's what it shows in my price guide.

i'd just pay yourelf to have it done , It's never good to have a claim on your insurance especially if your deductible is high!

I found out the hard way Got fucked by CarFax!!!!!!!!!! in the end ! they fixed a small dent labeled it a rear end colision I lost 1200 on my seabring at trade in!

Wow, you guys have deductible for glass, that sucks. For an extra coupld bucks a month I have full glass replacement, no deductible through USAA.

Ya' see... USAA is way better than anything any of us civillians could get... call it perks of being in the military... same way that you can buy stuff at the base shop for a lot cheaper than we can at wal-mart.

I'd just purposely cruise one a gravel road long enough to get behind a truck driver...then get the number off the back of his truck and say that he flung gravel at you and it cracked your windshield. Then his company would have to pay for it.
Haha, no, thats a bad idea...but I wonder if it would work? Lol
