For discussion of all things Powell!!
It's been a bit since i've bought it, but i could of sworn the blue bottle was the blue fluid and the amber bottle was amber. Then again they could changed the manufacturing practices.
EDIT: actually the Federal Government got in there and said brake fluid must be Amber, wtf why does it matter if it's blue or amber?

That makes it sound like it was based on color alone. DOT 5 is purple.
I would think it's more about trying to identify it so they can clean it up appropriately. But power steering fluid is pretty close in color to brake fluid as is oil if you get down to it.

Race gas that you buy for the track is blue in color (aka av gas, 100 octane leaded). If you crashed, it's for the first responders safety to visually distinguish fuel from brake fluid.
VP MOTORSPORTS 100 is orange VP MOTORSPORTS 101 is yellow, their MOTORSPORTS109 is clear.
This is a retarted reason to reject blue brake fluid since most first responders aren't looking at fluid colors unless its blood red
I didn't even take pics :/ bent/cut sheet metal, you fold a flap, drill holes, bolt into CA. Powell showed me...now I just need my control arms w/ those old bushings pushed in and drill some holes. Of course knowing me, it will be in a few years
or this winter. Glo may have some pics.
