Do you agree the cobalt is underated?
Some of the magazines give it justice. Like R&t in the 10 best for under 30K they said it was underratted. But when you read artcials and they relate to the past tests of the cobalt it always seems like they forgett what it really drove like and just look up the old tests.
i honestly think gm messed up a lil the car shoulda had the stage 2 it should be stock like that. But it is very underated i love my car and really dont care what other people think. besides if you we all agreed on the best car there would be no point right?
(17), if they put realistic numbers and if my insurance provider knew about stage upgrades id be screwed!
I'm 44 years old and make triple figures. In all actuality I really could just go and buy the M3 I always wanted or the EVO I was considering. But when you read all of the published facts, weigh the research, and apply that to what you are looking for in a car, you just can't beat the Cobalt SS/SC.
- Insurance is cheap.....I can invest more money elsewhere.
- The car is cheap....I have money I can spend elsewhere like sending my son to college or tech school.
- Love the looks of the car (doen't need a body kit or anything).
- Most people really don't know how quick it really is.
- Although fairly new to the market, aftermarket parts are cheap.
- Engine, suspension and body is a breeze to work on and has great potential.
- It gets (mine does according to my dic, get 28.3 mpg at an average of 51 mph)....I save some money in fuel.
- The aftermarket will explode for the Ecotech in a few more years.
- The money I invested or saved from not buying the M3 or EVO will be applied to my Cobalt when it is paid off (2-3 years).
The reason I said that was because I think people think because they own a certain car that might be different, more powerful, cooler or whatever reason that they deserve some type of respect for owning a car. I don't care if someone owns a 900 WHP Supra, if he's a total jackhole...I don't respect **** about him because he was blessed with more money to waste into a car. I respect someone who is a pure car enthusiast who drives a Geo Metro.
Problem is that I think some of the members are just expecting respect because they own something that isn't an Honda or an import or because it's supercharged and not turbocharged.
That's all I meant by it.
Well I wrote this to him in a PM but I'll post it up now...
