F23 better than F35?

Anyone else ever feel this way? I drove my 2.2 for the first time in past month today and wow how much better the tranny is, clutch catches better, less pedal travel, no noises coming from it when shifting, no loose feeling when shifting from 1st info 2nd and the tranny just overall feels smoother and well put together (and that's with 126k on the stocker)

If by better you mean easier to drive, then yeah. Otherwise... not really.

I'd say so solely for the fact that the F23 doesn't have a roll pin.
I've broke 2 on my F35, so far..

I've actually read a couple times that people say the f23 can handle power better than the f35. I have no idea whether that's true but who knows. I've also never driven an f35 car so I guess my post is pointless

I don't know, I really feel like one day 1st or 2nd gears will just fall out of my transmission lol. Shifting into first sucks sometimes too, feels like there's some play in it and then it catches on and kind of rocks my car into gear (kind of like rolling in 1st at like 4k rpm letting go of gas and then just slamming the gas pedal)

Good topic here. I'm curious myself. A friend of mine had a turbo swapped lsj pushing about 450whp and he went through 3 3rd gears just doing roll on pulls. It would just strip the gear right out. He did an F23 swap because he said it's a better transmission. He never had any issues after that, but the car didn't really stay around much longer to really find out if it was really a stronger trans. He's trying to push on me if I ever wrecked my trans to put one in. In for info.

Sub'd

I'm on my third F35 tranny, while a supercharged 2.2, with the F23, with about the same power as I had didn't have any issues, so this topic intrigues me. lol

the big issue with the F35 is tweaking the 3rd gear input shaft if it starts to tweak slightly from stress it's game over. where as the F23 isn't configured the same way so it's 3rd gear doesn't endure nearly as much stress.. thus making it seem stronger. They're also MUCH cheaper to replace lol but you can't pick one up with an LSD easy lol

Ya I figured as much. The only thing I don't know my supercharger would like is the shorter gear ratios. Except I think 5th is taller.
