Well I was with my friend in his car, and we were pulling up to my house to drop some **** off. Well he pulls with his headlight on the front of my car and I see this HUGE black mark on the bumper. I walk out to see it and its a HUGE gouge! I look closer and there's another one next to my driverside headlight. AND ON TOP OF THAT theres this HUGE group of scrapes that is on the right side of my bumper. The DAMN GARBAGE men scraped our cans up against the front of my car. There's probably about 300 dollars worth of damage. THEY HAVE ONE JOB. You think they would do it right... I love how people don't care about other peopls belongings... It's moments like this that make me hate people. And there's not a thing I can do about it but get it fixed. End Rant. Sorry ya'll

 

Did you at least call the company and file a complaint? You never know, sometimes making a big deal out of it will get you at least SOMETHING.

 

Call the police get a reprt # and then cal the truck company. Thats what they have insurance for.

 

that sucks. I've drove a garbage truck before and after picking up garbage everyday it get so repetitive that you just grab can regularly and don't even think about your surroundings.

 

I could complain but I have no proof. It's their word against mine.

 

But you do have proof! They should be able to prove that the marks match whatever hit it....just complain!! If nothing else, you'll feel a little better.

Walmart has insurance for stuff like that too, like if a shopping cart flys into your car and dents it, their insurance pays for it.

 

hmm wait outside on garbage day next week with a baseball bat....

 

And watch the garbage pile up for months.

 

haha. yeah my friend was like yell at them next garbage day.. i just looked at him, and said "yeah then you can come take my garbage to the dump."

 

I say...............KILL EM ALLL...but that's just my suggestion...you can take it however you want to take it

 

Like Jack said, file a police report. Take pics if you have a camera, but get the cops out to look at it too. Also, try to call the company that picks up your garbage, you may be suprised at the outcome. Just remain calm when you call them, if you scream at them they are liable to hang up on you.

 

That's the way to handle it.

 

thats not true.. If you look at there cart corals it clearly states that they are not responsible for damages caused by shopping carts. Now if some retard employee rams a cart into your cart, yes.. but a random loose cart, no they wont pay...

 

I'd definetly call them man, worth a shot. Also complain to your town, they're the ones who contract out the garbage men.

 

What are you thinking? Why would you say theres nothing you can do about it? What do you have to lose by complaining to the company? I had my car towed the first night I was at my new house. Picked it up the next day and found the exhaust tip scraped, and the side skirts gouged from their tire holding thingies. Ended up costing the tow company $700 to fix. They didn't even put up a fight. Just paid it and apologized. To think I almost didn't say anything either.
