Parts start getting cheap like for cavaliers and sunfires? I mean ya im cheap and everything in Canada is so much more for these cars. Like 300+ for an Intake? 300+ for a set of ebay projectors? When will we see prices start to drop on parts for these cars.

I know what you mean though, but I wouldnt hold my breath. I think the question is how long before we start seeing regular group buys for popular items.

 

once the demand goes down.... right now there are tons of people modding these new cars. once people stop buying mods, prices will drop to try to get more people to buy....

 

It's not like there is a certain time period...

Basically, it depends on who you get it from and the demand for parts for that application.

Example: You can go to a company and buy an intake for $50 for a Honda Civic. Why? Cause there is so much demand and such a competetive market for the Civics, they lower their prices to get those owners attention and get their sale.

It's marketing. When you mess with a car like a J-body or the Delta platform vehicles, it's not popular by far compared to an Import (as far as modifying). So...in result, you gotta pay more money. But like I said, it's a combination of both.
