Just bought 06 cobalt ss/sc

well guys, i went to the dealership today just to talk about getting the car...and what do you know...? 45min later, i ended up placing an order for a 06 black ss/sc with all the goodies (minus the LSD and recaros). he said it would take a few weeks to receive the car so until then im going to be like a kid waiting for christmas!!

i hope not. the dealer didnt have any ss/sc's in stock. he said he'd have to order it and it would take a couple of weeks.

How did you get to feel the Recaro's if they didn't have the car in stock?

a couple weeks.. hahahaaaaaa.. thats freakin funny. I knew people that had to wait months. I am sure many people here had to wait longer then expected also. Uless your dealer already had one ordered just the way you wanted.

i looked into buying a ss/sc bout a year ago and the dealer had one with the LSD and recaros...i sat in it but didnt find it too comfy. dealer said a couple of weeks so we will see what happens. im not sure if he is ordering from plant or getting car from a different dealership...who knows. all i care about is "i want my damn cobalt!"

hey i got a dilema, i know someone selling a 2003 Srt-4 for 15,500 with 18k miles, someone selling a 2004 with 13k miles for 17k, and a 2005 for 19k with 7k miles i think, or i can look for a 2005 cobalt SS for around 18k with under 20k miles or i can just go for a new 2006 cobalt SS, what do u think is the better buy for the price, and if u think i should get the cobalt SS new, how much can i haggle till?

Yea same, i'm in Burnaby, BC...ordered my black '06 SS/SC back in september and after months and months they called me jan 17th to say it had a build date

According to the dealer, the reason it took so long is cuz i ordered the blue inserts and apparently they were only doing Ebony on Ebony until recently...oh well...almost here and cant wait

Yeah I know that feeling. I ordered my SS/sc 11/12/05 and picked it up 1/9/06. It was worth the wait. Good luck with your ride.
