Maximum Useful HP for Street/DD

Stock internals, tuned by term2. Tune was done with the auto's life span in mind.

One thing nobody has mentioned is grip. To effectively use 400+whp you'll need to have a decent rubber budget. I can put down my power without much issues but it takes NT01's, 800 bucks a set that lasts no more than 6,000 miles. And since you're in Indiana, you'll also need a set of winter tires unless you park it for winter.
Also, having 450+ hp doesn't man it makes your car unsuitable as a DD at all. It's not like an on/off switch. You can dose the power pretty well with your right foot so you can still accelerate pretty fast without going WOT. Just my thoughts

Of course a very good point on how you drive. I guess I don't have experience at 400+, so I'm just curious if I can drive it conservatively enough to keep it alive. In a couple years I'll have the time and money to finish the build correctly to safely run 450-500. In the meantime, id like to use a little more of the 256's potential if I can do that without destroying something

The more power you have the less you have to use. Half throttle i can beat most civics
