Dude, buy an AEM dryflow filter and remove the bottom of the airbox for further whine and added HP. You'll see about 8-9 HP and 7-8 tq. Don't Ghetto-Fy your engine bay.

Do you have an SS/SC? If not this advice doesn't pertain to you. To mod the airbox just
take the front DS wheel off
remove the plastic fender gaurd
take the airbox lid off
drill a hole so that you can tighten the clamp on the new filter
insert new filter (perfereably AEM dryflow)
tighten clamp
button everything back up but leave the airbox lid off

You're done, enjoy your whine, and the 2-3 extra ponies you get.

8hp is a very wishful thought, it's probably more like 2-3. This way saves a ton over getting a CAI and does just as good because the stock piping flows great and airbox is in the fender and kind of low so you get nice cold air coming into the engine.

As long as you don't run dryer hose from your TB to your filter and use duct tape to keep it together.

But I say this, PAY TO PLAY THE GAME, yea riggin up a cone filter on the bottom of your stock intake will work, but for how long?

Plus the original intake is restrictive, I vote get an INJEN CAI and you'll be good
