Hey Guys! I found this article How To Save On Fuel while surfing the net... Does this things stated to these article really helps saves fuel??

The stuff makes sense. The more weight the more energy it takes to move the car, regular oil changes and tune ups keep it running efficiently, not accelerating full throttle saves gas, etc...it's more common sense really.

One thing in regards to the air conditioning is that for most vehicles, below 35 mph is more fuel efficient to roll down the windows, and above 35 mph it is more efficient to use air conditioning.
In terms of tire pressure, it is good safety to always keep them properly inflated. That being said, they have disproved the idea that a car with properly inflated is far more fuel efficient then one with soft tires. Unless your tire pressure is extremely low, it is a negligible difference.

...but then again on the tire pressure topic, the tires being under-inflated/over-inflated will cause the tires to wear oddly and faster.... then you dont need to worry about gas, but buying new tires sooner

I'm just a fan of using real reasons, instead of fabricated ones.
There are people out there claiming you are losing 10 mpg from being a few pounds under inflated. It simply isn't true.

I wonder how Taking the T-tops off effects mielage? Not that I care.
I am running 40PSI in the Cobalt to reduce rolling resistance but thats it. I don't drive around with hundreds of lbs of stuff either----almost nothing in fact.

Speeding and quick accelerating greatly determine your milage. It's so annoying to hear people bitch about gas being so high and they're driving just as they always have. For the last few weeks I've been keeping it under 60mph (pretty easy because the fastest you can drive around here is 55) and driving slower through congested areas and I'm able to get a tank of gas to last a lot longer.

i mean yeah that will save u gas but i doubt you really will notice much of a savings. i tried doing alot of the "gas saver techniques" and got maybe an extra day's worth of driving before i had to fill up. so i saved less than $4 and was late everywhere i went, ill just pay up and drive like normal. even if you save the magical 30 cents a gallon thats what? 3.60 a tank. if you really wanna save gas just drive less, or buy a motorcycle. they can get like 60 - 70 mpg, and women love them!
