Oh well happy wife, happy life.
sounds to me like a slowbaru would be more her style.

Seriously though, snows make a big difference. Snows + AWD = win.

Why is it so many people have trouble in the snow with these cars?.. I was scared also and almost purchased blizzaks, but before I could, I was caught in a large storm and was forced to drive home, it continued to snow all night. The next morning I had to drive to work before the streets got plowed. Point of the story? I am running street radials. So how you guys are "all over the road with a light dusting".. Here is a hint.. QUIT DRIVING LIKE A JACKASS!

That, or maybe I'm just used to Chicago winters. I'm going to say number 1 though.

EXACTLY WHAT IM GOING THROUGH!!!! They aren't willing to give me trade-in at the price point I want.

They can help you sell it though. Ask them about it. You find a buyer, they handle their financing and the final selling points. Its worth considering. Ask them about it.

Just got my car about 2 1/2 months ago, about a month before the first snow and my friend use to have an 09 TC but traded it and still had his 2500$ winter tires and sold them to me for 650$. It snowed the day before I was going to pick them up from him while I was at work. My butt cheeks were clenched so tight that if I had some coal I would have turned it into diamond. The next morning I was going to work at 5:30, I pulled out of my drive way, and it's a very slight uphill climb and I couldn't get anywhere. So I threw it into reverse, pulled the ebrake, did a 180, hit the one small patch of pavement that was uncovered, gunned it when I got traction on it and pulled half way up my driveway and parked it. Got a ride to work and that night went and got my tires switched over and haven't had a single problem since. Winters really do make all the difference, especially over the Conti summer sport tires. They have no right being near snow. and if you really are a car salesman, you should know this. O_o

dont feel so bad man, mine was stickered at 25k and got it for 18 but with negative equity on my other car i ended up paying 25k, after taxes etc, 440 a month at 5.9% and like 160 a month ins, at 21 yrs old, and just for ***** and giggles when i was bored i was offered the same on trade in, i dont plan on trading it in unless its for a vette, or something similar.

they offered me 12k at first then 13k after talking to some chevy dealers. they said the problem wasn't the car but the fact that everyone that wants one can afford the car but not the insurance.

My car is in mint condition with no accidents or any damage.

Sooooo i did alot of
and more

I didn't read the thread, but ...

The problem is behind the steering wheel. With good snows tires, the ss/tc is excellent in the winter. I see that all the time on different forums, people are claiming that the ss/tc sucks in the snow, when they try to drive with a performance summer tire in freezing temps with snow or ice on the ground...

Put some decent tires on the car and stop complaining about it. Also, trading in a brand new car is one of the most stupid thing one can do money wise. Just choose a car that fits your needs properly in the first place. It's not that hard to understand.

Sounds like you need winter tires, not trading your car in. LOL

Yeah I made sure I didnt take that route... I got my 2010 TC for 23k, did 7 down. And $300 a month no intrest.

\\So basically it works out that its always worth about how much I owe.

You just need to know how to snow drive.
+1. Amazing how much better off people would be if they just took their cars to empty parking lots and practiced handling.

I only have 2 winter concerns about my car.
1: Snow getting pushed/bunched up in front of my low front end until its such a huge pile my car cant go anymore
2: Salt from the road corroding everything

I would drive my SS/TC but i don't think the intercooler would survive a week around here with all the ice and snow chunks that end up in the road.

72 months is too long of a car payment IMHO .... the only reason i did 72 was because it was 0% .

You could always total out your car and have insurance pay the loan back you know. That way you wont owe any money and are free to get another car.

We just got pummeled with snow in NJ. I was out driving all day and the next through the snow trying to find any excuse to go out for some fun.

All I have to say is snow tires #FTW. No fear or anxiety of getting stuck or loosing control.
