I calibrated my speedometer, so I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.

I was able to really open the car up tonight for the first time in a long time. I'm very pleased with how the new tires handle themselves.

I see that regularly on my logs.

I will see small bursts at virtually no load.

Nothing to be concerned with IMO.

I am still working on getting my MAF dialed in.

I disabled all tip in KR to see what happens.

On my trip to work I logged ZERO KR events.

I will leave it like this for a while and see if my KR stays at zero.

I wonder if the tip in table correlates to anticipated "burst knock" the pcm dinks with.

I will for sure.

I will know pretty soon. I was able to trigger KR pretty much any time I wanted by shifting quickly.

I didn't even have to be on the throttle much to get a few degrees of KR.

Got harassed by some ******* in a V8 Cherokee. Revving, riding up on me. Promptly left him way behind...

Only to be chased by some idiot in a Hyundai Santa Fe who may have had some serious mental retardation. Slowed to 55. Left him way behind as well.

Deleted the coolant hoses that used to connect to the stock oil cooler and capped them off. Installed sensor manifolds to capture oil temp and pressure pre and post front mount oil cooler. Just need to run the wiring and hook them up to my dual interceptors

Removed lower grill, and tried to get the upper grill off. Couldn't figure it out..

If anyone knows how to get the upper grill off I would appreciate it.

This evening at 6:15 I put my car on a lift.

At 10:15 I removed my car from the lift.

I pulled out my old messed up transmission and installed a low mile HHR SS trans.

Car drives as it should now.....FINALLY!

Take off the 2 nuts that hold on the bowtie. Theres i think 2 plastic rivets on each side that need to come out. Then just push the tabs down and work its way towards the engine.

Thanks, I did end up getting it off.

My biggest issue was the sport came with the chrome overlay. The grill insert goes towards the engine, the chrome goes outward. So I couldn't remove the grill with out removing the chrome first.
This "upgraded grill" can't be installed with the normal badge section still there. So when I finally got it all off. I realized GM just used a saw to cut out that section of the bumper for the "upgrade"..

I ended up painting the large plastic piece flat black, and the chrome piece gloss black.

Its drying over night but off the car it looks very nice.

Drove to work and when I almost got there a noticeable ticking began and it sounds like the top end of the engine. Turned out to be very low on oil. Compression test doesn't make me suspect the rings are bad but the oil on the #3 plug makes me suspect a valve seal.

Tossed on the winter wheels and tires, forecast is calling for snow tomorrow. Should be interesting. 17" SS/NA, no spacer.

What do you guys think about painting the radiator flat black?? I want to try it, but wanted some ideas as why and why not to.

I took the lower grill out and I feel like it would look much better with the radiator flat black.

The question for me about that is will it affect the heat dissipation with the paint on it
