I wouldn't trust a carbon body with my life. I also have NO intention of making one lol. I also don't take prepayments. I have a credit card and a decent paying job. I don't have to burden other people with my financial problems.
Carbon fiber is damn strong, better than fiberglass (if it's true carbon fiber) and a ton of cars have fiberglass bodys

It is, but my worry is that you need to orient it properly and cure it properly to have it worthy of a car body. I'd make fenders no problem because they are meant to crush. But I wouldn't want to be in an accident in that. Carbon shatters, it doesn't bend like metal. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid and the body would be fine. I still don't want to make one
I haven't posted in this thread in a while. Since I last have, which has to be last summer, I've gotten a lot done to my 05' LSJ. Mostly cosmetic, but have more power coming this summer.
So since the last time I have posted I have:
-Timing chain done at 110k
-New wheels with summer tires
-touchscreen radio
-3 gauge pillar
-painted calipers
-cold air intake
-hahn turbo muffler from an LNF (sounds like a catback system haha)
-Armrest and trim from a G5 GT

You're not making a unibody out of carbon fiber, you're making the cosmetic covers so the bending vs splintering isn't important.
I installed my 60lbs siemens deka injectors just now and tuned them. They still need a little adjustment but hey, they work great. Even idles like stock.
Got tired of looking at the front license plate frame so I drilled the rivets out and removed it. Looks alot cleaner imo but I'll have to get the holes fixed. Oh well I can live with it for now.
LNF grill should be here tuesday. The whole front end is gonna be alot cleaner now.
quick Question. Is it possible to pull the engine and tranny out the top together? Not having a lift would make dropping the subframe pretty tricky.
I want to start planning for my clutch job.
Light spring cleaning of the interior. Cleaned seats/windows and trim. Vaccum carpet. I stalled recaros and removed the rear seat belts because nobody ever sits in the back.
