Drove home from work, parked in the garage, and stared at it. Wondered to myself why it needed to rain the next 2 days, got sad, and closed the garage door :-(

Murphy's Law

Well this has been a day. My car has been in the shop since Monday to get a new IC pump and a Magnaflow "6 round x 28" long resonator to replace the old rattling one. I trust my shop 100% and they've done a ton of work to my truck and my family's cars over the years. Great work for good price kind of place. They have an exhaust shop to do all their exhaust work and they did a great job on my truck exhaust. They were expecting the pump to come from ZZP today but wouldn't have time to finish until Monday. However, after I got off work they called and said it came early and the car was done. Picked it up and loved the way the exhaust sounded. Started driving and could tell that something was hitting every time I hit a bump. They were already closed though and did me a favor by letting me come get it today. I get it home and find out that they took off my muffler instead of resonator. And as if that wasn't already enough to set me off the exhaust pipe hits the rear axle every time it goes over a bump. So now it's going back Monday morning to at least have them straighten out the exhaust pipe issue. I know multiple people on here have used that same muffler as the resonator so there's no way it wouldn't fit.
Any suggestions on what to do about a res now? Go back with a stock or get a Magnaflow 4" round that might fit a little easier? I'm honestly out of ideas and fuming.

There's a rubber diaphragm in the fuel rail. It serves as a pulsator which dampens the pulses from the pump. Let us know how it held up to 400F

Yeah... noticed that right after hitting submit. I do a lot of powder coating and that's an item I wouldn't do. If that diaphragm fails, it will start hemorrhaging around that crimp.

You mean in this part? I could tell there was something inside here, so it didn't get powdercoated. The one currently on the car is in better shape, so I'll be using it instead.

Or in this part? This end I couldn't get a good read on what is in there. All I could make out was a baffle, I'm guessing to stop the first injector to get a blast of fuel.

Love these headlights and tail lights

Where can I get them and how much lol?

My tails are tinted black... looks good but I just got the car so it's probably only a matter of time before I get pulled over for them... at night you can see them fine but during the day it's iffy

Replaced the washer nozzles with aftermarket ones. There is a much better spray pattern now.

The top one is the fuel pressure regulator cartridge. That definitely has to be removed.
The bottom pic (unless they removed it and didn't change the tooling of the bulge) had a rubber diaphragm there that served as the pulsator.

Ordered a bunch of parts for engine rebuild round 2. Hopefully the car will run on gas instead of oil after this. Having trouble finding anyone who can swap sleeves so I can start with a fresh bore. Going with balance shaft delete and Foximus old head with ATI OD super damper so I can rev to 8k.

Got my new ZZP Tune, Stage 2 with some light mods, and basically refreshing the "kit" they told me was on it when I bought it. Investigation after purchase revealed it was not ZZP tuned, I can't even figure out who the injectors are from, and the intake (DC Sports) I already knew I wasn't keeping. So got the whole new kit, 60# siemens and harness, ngk plugs, gm performance belt, a proper tune, and zzp cai. Hopefully have time and rolling by this weekend.

Just got my car back from exhaust shop.... car has a ZZP 2.5" DP w/ cat and a 2.5 ZZP Catback w/ Muffler.... but it had a Resonator Delete Pipe

So I bought the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator for $80

Shop only charged me $30 to put it on

It makes SUCH a difference. I'm so happy

No more drone in the car, no more raspy fart can noise at WOT..... you can actually hear the supercharger over the exhaust now when before you could barely hear it cause the exhaust was so loud

But it still has a nice loud growl when you get on it

Well, looks like it's not in the cards. If you can get it, go for it! I asked around an no one I know is going that way and shipping is a bit much that I don't need it that bad.
