Well put the sway bar bushings in today, this car sure isnt' a Z. It took about 30 minutes long than it does to do them on my Z Either way the clunk is gone. For now.

Went to the junkyard for a 50% sale. Ended up scoring a full set of Eibach Sportlines off a wrecked SS/TC for about 40 bucks. I'll be putting those on next weekend most likely. Not a bad score if I say so myself. If anybody is in Jax, FL Ace Pick a part has the car. LNF is 90% intact and the tranny is in it still. Go tomorrow and it is still 50% off.

I yelled some choice words at my cobalt today trying to free up a seized caliper piston. Guess it's dremel and rebuild time...

Not today, but on black friday I snagged a shorty header for $85. Not too bad. I kinda wished I had bought the 3" downpipe too but I have other things to buy at the moment. Not a bad pickup.

Replaced the battery...

How do you boost a car without cables, another car or a booster pack? Try an RC car battery!!

I went and got my new winter tires last night, after they were done, the car was dead, so they boosted it for me, I drove it home and it ran fine.
I went out this morning (anticipating a problem I went out a couple hours early) and sure enough it was dead as a door nail.
I emptied the trunk, made a harness to attach a 3 cell lipo battery to the car (3s battery has a theoretical voltage of 11.1V, but an actual voltage of 4.2v per cell for 12.6V)
Car fired right up!!! On an RC Battery!! I took the battery back into the house while the car idled, put it on the charger and found it had 4.23v per cell, it didn't even phase the battery!!

So I took the car to Canadian Tire, pulled the battery in the parking lot and had them test it, sure enough it was done so I got a new one.

Bought a new front bumper to replace my current raggedy one, but won't install it until Spring.

Found a decent replacement rim for the cracked alloy so I don't have to deal with my tire deflating all the time.

Replaced inner panels of the car as the previous owner shoved something in the back and cracked the vinyl.

Gave it a quick wash with a microfibre mitt and found a dozen more rock chips I need to fix.

Drove it to work. DOT put sand and salt down on the road, glad I sealed the paint last weekend. Noticed rust creeping up from the passenger rocker on the front fender.

Currently trying to get my down pipe off. So far ive gotten 3 loose. The top right bolt is a pain in the ass. then onto getting the rest of the exhaust off. Can anyone tell me if you can remove the factory catback in one piece? Or did you guys cut it?

This. It can come out in one piece if you want to drop the rear twisting beam (rear axle), which if it's extremely important to you to be able to reuse it later it's about a 2h or so job to drop the twisting beam if you're mechanically inclined.

Just make it a nice cut and if you ever do have to put it back in, splice it back together. If you have welding abilities, I'd flange both halves so it could one day be bolted back together.

If i had a lift i would most likely do it but after taking all day getting what was supposed to be just the nuts off the turbo side of the down pipe but ended up being the bolts with the nuts seized on them, ill just be cutting the damn thing lol.

I dont own one yet. Its on my wish list. Im going to cut it far enough back so i can put it back on and use a band clamp.

Put the Sportlines in today. I'm super happy with the ride they provide with the Koni Yellows. I was a little worried I had read on here the Sportlines are "bouncy" I can't say they are like that with the Yellows. Car looks better too.

I dropped my car off at a local speed shop to install a new clutch / flywheel combo. South Bend Stage 3 with a Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel. I'm really set up to do a clutch job.

Since they were doing that, I had them install a new IC Pump, Heat Exchanger, radiator and AC condenser. The pump had failed and the other parts were damaged when I hit an animal a few years ago.

I found I really hate dropping my car off and mechanic shops. Anyway, they forgot to plug the power steering power back into the fuse box. And the transmission sounds complete different now. I'll have to get a few videos with the sound. Could just be paranoia on my part. It got cold when I picked it up and I was pretty used to the stock clutch.

Yeah. It most centrally could just be a different noise than I'm used to hearing. After 11 and a half years and a 16x,xxx miles you get used to a certain sound.
