Staged, only reason I still have mine is because I know the full history of its maintenance. It has definitely crossed my mind to sell it and get a cheaper car for commuting and using the rest of the cash towards a project. Mine's always for sale for the right price.
Totally agreed. But I'd also not want the weekend toy to be the DD. I'm just not really interested in the SS being the weekend toy; I've got other ideas I'd rather work on. It's kind of a waste as a DD. In the meantime, it's great as a DD that's also fun on the weekends.
Too bad the weekends are spent on yardwork and babycare...
I like my Cobalt as a daily driver/weekend autocross. It's fast enough to have fun but I also don't have to obsess over little imperfections or park a mile out because I am worried about getting a scratch on the paint job. Also not afraid to actually drive the thing and drive it hard.
Not gonna lie I may be in the same boat as Staged though. I saw someone in Anthony driving a replica Jurassic Park Wrangler, and now I MUST have one. It'll need to wait until I pay off my hospital bills though.

Ran my car in a half mile event for the very first time and trapped 139.7mph. Not bad considering this was at 6,000ft altitude and in triple digit temperatures
