Do they age oil pretty fast, run hot or what?

our boxer engines just murder oil. Subaru requires a 5w30 oil weight for emissions and gas mileage. but even they say to use a 40w in "extreme conditions" which is 100% of the time. in 2500 miles I've turned mobil 1 5w-30 into a 20w where as my cobalt at 8000 miles with mobil 1 was fine.

its a huge mess.

Will take that advice! I've planned on very light mods as I'm trying to not get constantly pulled over like the cobalts wing and exhaust gets me. I will get the oil changed every 3-4 and def do a Cobb tune. My fiancée had a BRZ that we converted to turbo so I know that it's important to map your car.

Thanks!

the nice thing is the 2013 wrx is the wide body. doesn't look gay like the 08-10 narrow bodies.

My wife misses her 2014 WRX. its a fun car

Doesn't Mobile 1 kind of run on the lighter side anyway? I read that somewhere but never knew the validity.

yeah. its a lighter 30w resource conserving oil.

I run amsoil 10w-40 or motul 5w-40 in my built engine. OCI every 3k and it always stays in spec.

Yes I specifically jumped when my coworker was turning in her 2013, as the 15-18 model has too many body lines and is no longer wide body.

She might not, but the techs/lot jockeys at the Subaru dealer will

Yeah, not too sure you have worked at a dealership and if you have not all techs will do that, once or twice, but I doubt it's enough for you to be flaming me all week. "All cobalts have the evo mod" right? Or no? Hmmm

What I mean by the evo mod comment is not all cobalts have that although at the height of popularity 80% of people on here had it.... not every wrx is driven around the lot like a maniac (it's not even an sti, and not all people do that)

You're a hater lol

Making apples out of my oranges here, Chris lol I'm saying not EVERY plain Jane WRX is going to be beat on. Most of them, yes. Why not be positive on a forum, instead of negative.
