What Have You Done To Your Cobalt Today?
I used a slide hammer to get out my Cobalt hub. Did the same when I did my Tahoe too. Sacrifice 3 lug nuts, but it takes 5 minutes when you have a helper hold the slide hammer perpendicular to the hub.
I'm not real familiar with it but I am sure at some point I will need to replace my hub/bearing. I thought the hub stayed in the bearing. Iirc the bearing I bought has a new hub already installed. Why do you need to separate them?
The whole bearing assembly usually needs to be changed, and in order to change it, you need to remove the axel from the assembly. Once you get the rotor off, you'll see it clearly. Just be careful with the ABS cable when changing these, as you need to feed it through the knuckle but under the axel for the hub
I like the TC wheels better, but I have seen many junkyards having those SC rims. With some elbow grease you could get them to really shine (or stand out).
Found out why the car wouldn't move. Axle was out of the carrier. Aka wheel would turn but the axle wouldn't. I replaced the boot on this a while back, looks like it finally failed when I pulled on it.
Fortunately I had a spare ZZP stage 1 axle sitting on my shelf. Gonna toss that in this weekend and she'll be back in business again.
