Finally had the short lived noisy ZZP muffler replaced with a Solo Performance 'Stealth' series muffler, which is apparently their quietest short of the OE version. Also had the low hanging ZZP res hanger cut and straightened out a bit. Much quieter and can hear the GMPP CAI again. Little quieter than the GMPP Touring muffler I had last and I don't have to turn engine off in drive-thru's anymore. The shop had to use a 2.25" C/O muffler and tip as the 2.5" muffler was too long. There is a bit of a 'farty' sound when giving a little, especially noticeable in underpasses. Will have to play around and listen some more.

So all I have left of the ZZP 2.5" catback is the 2 pipes. Not sure what will do with the res and muffler yet.

Just recorded a clip. Will upload soon. i don't get it though... sounds ricey to me. I cannot hear that AT ALL inside the cabin (just a bit as mentioned previously). Unless this muffler is bulletproof (they did weld a hanger directly to it)... and the ZZP was paper thin directing much of the crappy loud sound inside the cabin.

EDIT: AUDIO CLIP

I think I will be back yet again at the muffler shop (Zoro) to try the 'Quantum' series muffler which had a little 'deeper' tone. If they are built the same as this 'Stealth' series (which is supposed to be stealthy quiet?) then might as well try that one... especially if it is not going to be that noticeable in the cabin.

These are sweet! I can't seem to do a delete of them from my mind and will have to have them.😄

Enough $$ spent on mods this year. On to cheaper mods like seeing if I can bring back the luster of my inner wheel rims..🤔

Had an oval shaped Solo Performance Resonator (QR-18-NP) put on to try to cut rasp. Seemed to help a bit. No audio file yet.

Do you have the stock shorter length end-links installed? It sounds like maybe this is the second time this has happened or was the previous clunk something different?

I'm about to but sway bar links and new bushings. Anything I should be aware of? are the powergrid adjustable links worth the extra cash? I know to buy the 9" ones and may buy them straight from the manufacturer.

SS uses the shorter like you said I think 9" while the base models use the 11" iirc. The powergrids are a very nice unit. They are adjustable so you can balance the sway bar with the driver in the car or fine tune it if you do performance driving. For a daily driver they are overkill IMO with a performance advantage you won't notice over a moog set.

I have the moog 9" (greaseable) set myself and they've been perfectly fine; granted my car was originally designed for FE3.
I forgot about the bushings. I've been hearing clunks again and those are the last things I've yet to replace in the front other than axels.

I also have the Moog 9" with only about 20k miles on them so far but 5 or 6 track days in there and I've had no issues whatsoever. The rest of the suspension is stock minus Powel CABS.

I changed the axle on my car, tried to fix my headlights not turning on but that didnt work. Maybe it is the ballast or the igniter. Also changed the strut that bearing. Tried to install the zzp upgraded intake tube that the claim fits the zfr but yeah that's not fitting no matter what I do. Fun day with not much progress

Sounds like my day yesterday on a different car. I went in with a laundry list of things to resolve, spent 2/3rds of my day on the car and the end result was I changed the oil.
