How much should I look to pay for a set of quality HID's? My stock lights are ass and a danger to everyone? A freind said that ebay hid's for less than 50$ prices arent wha the pictures indicate and will make my lights more dim. I want to something with alot of light, and not annoying to oncoming traffic and not annoying to my wallet.

Help me out? thanks!

the black box is the relay, but you should be able to make your own relay if your electrically savvy. If not you will need two connections to your positive terminal on your battery I believe, one for each headlight

yours shouldnt have that since your kit is h1, low beam it is just plug and play no need to have relays or wiring to the battery

that is only used for bi xenon since they telescope or angle ... and it needs additional power from the battery via relay to operate that action

well not the relay but the harness that has the wires that go 2 the other side of the ballast... that i dont have and i am not "electrical savvy" lol

you shoud have a bulb that has to quick disconects that connects to the ballast.... then wires that come out of the ballast that connect to the stock connector that you would use if you had regular halogen bulbs

this is wrong.

My kit from 3Bspec is an H1 kit and I have a relay. the relay is for the passenger side headlight. You only plug the wiring harness into one stock harness from the car. The passenger side stock harness you just plug into your turn signals so they work, but you plug the long wiring harness from the kit into the passenger side headlight from the driverside headlight. My kit also has a positive battery hook up that you put onto the positive battery post in your engine compartment. I'll take pictures of my set-up 2marrow for you.

ive seen that on my bi xenon kit but never an h1 kit... my h1 kit just intercepted my stock wires running to the bulb...

yeah post some pictures id like to see that... but it sounds like a pain in the ass for a single beam kit

didn't need a relay for my car, 07+ u'll have to remove the DRL fuse so that the right one wont flicker... i got the 8000k 3bspec 35w ballast plug and play harness on both lights works excellent no relay needed.

Just thought I would put my 2 cents in here. When I first bought my car, I bought a Halo HID kit from a guy here named Uneek, and it was a great kit Ive had it for 3.5 years, and it did me great. Unfortunately 1 of the balasts decided to start going bad. So I bought the same kit listed in this thread for 60 shipped. Got it, and everythign looks great. Put it in, and they worked fine. I did notice on start up, the right side will flicker a little.

The biggest difference between this kit, and my old kit is when my bass hits from my 650w RMS sub, these new HID's flicker. You can see every time it hits, they flicker. With my old halo HID's this never happened!

So I jsut bought a 1.5 farad cap, to fix this problem. So just a heads up, anyone with a system thinking of buying these, make sure you have a cap, otherwise you will get some much unwanted flicker when your bass hits!

I was wondering about that as I too have installed HID Projectors, Every time I start my car up, the right side lamp will not fire, I have to cycle the headlamp switch off then back on again for the right side to fire, is that because of the DRL? If so I only need to pull the DRL fuse or will the relay harness take care of this problem? This is so F'IN frustrating. BTW I have the single H1 6000k kit. Thanks for any help on this.
