Exhaust: How-To: Installing HIDs W/ Relay Harness
I lucked up when i traded my mustang in for my cobalt and found out that the headlights use the exact same 9007 bulb so i was able to keep my HID's from the stang and install them. Everything went fine and have had no issues at all with them. Other than with my foglights. Had to order different bulbs but re-used my ballasts from the stang. The driver side tends to stay on for the most part, but the passenger bulbs cuts out unless i rev the engine. Is there something with the wiring that I might possibly have wrong, or will I need to order different ballasts for the foglights since the stang bulbs were 893's and not H11's or whatever the cobalt fogs are, assuming that the ballasts for the 893's cant support these bulbs due to voltage differences.
so i bought a replacement set of hid headlights from the SpecD online store and ive run into a hitch. i purchased 10k bulbs and in the process of wiring them in, i realized i have no earthly idea where the 2 bladed pos & neg leads are supposed to go {the leads on the same side of the rubber cup as the bulb)
i have been in contact with support from SpecD but maybe we are having a communication issue. i was told they would attach at the assembly, but i dont see how with the male blade connections on the wires and the ONE male bladed contact in the assembly. im not on this site often so hopefully i can get an email notification that this has been replied to. thanks in advance, all.
