I'm going to do it with my Summit white 09 SS Turbo sedan. I give all the credit to hailcesar75, because it weren't for him and his SS, I would have only been a thought. After seeing his car, I was sold on the mod. Just have to get the lip ordered up through my GM source now.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to use 3m tape to install one of these? Of course, that would mean removing the tabs, but it would also mean not having to drill any holes (or only a couple of holes).

Many aftermarket body skirts/lips use 3m tape, so that's why I am thinking if I should try this route, then a couple of screws on the leading edges. (if it wraps into the wheel arch)

Don't thnk it's gonna work cuz the lip is curved right where the tabs are. If you put 3m tape it's not even gonna touch the bumper. Good idea though. If it wasn't curved I wouldve went that route

I once thought about using the tape method when I installed my lips, but when I took a look at the lips themselves, I instantly thought "yeah that will never work well, the things will fly off the car if you go on the highway" just because of the way the lips curve as well as the bumpers. The only part of the lip that really touches the bumper is the very top edge, so unless you have some miracle tape, I don't see it holding up very well.

OR!!!! You can put like 3 layers or more that may be needed of 3m tape. You know, one ontop of the other until it can be attached. Never thought of it. I mean it's curved but not by much

I think it's worth a shot

I will be doing this mod this spring. Already have the front SS bumper w/ lip. I just picked up side skirts and rear lip. You can expect to see a how to from me on how to install SS sides on an LS when i do this. From what i have gathered it involves drilling holes into the side and underneath or the car.

yeah you gotta drill a few holes in your rocker panel. I too am planning on installing a ss/sc kit so if you do a how to that would be awesome.

well first off it's really hard finding the kits otherbthan a junkyard or eBay. You have to search the Internet. You might get lucky. Also search moradautoparts.com or call them. That's were I got my rear lip with clips and grille pieces for $100. It came off a totaled ss/sc. I asked for he front lip but it was throw out by his employees cuz it had a big crack. I wouldve bought it with the crack and bondo it instead of buying it from the dealer. Mad expensive

been looking at that for a long time but the killer on the deal always is the prep/painting cost...

But won't you have to do the same to the ss/sc lip kit unless you get it the same color of your car

I tried this over the weekend and it did not work. The lip is too big. The SS bumper must stick out a little further in the rear than the LS because there is overhang on both sides by the wheel wells about 1/4 to 1/2 inch on each side. Not sure if there might be a diff in SS/NA and SS/SC but the lip I got did not line up like specified by the original poster

Interesting... Perhaps you cut the holes too low?

I cut on the body line like stated in the directions and the lip lines up with the rest of the kit but overhangs into the wheel wells for some reason. The only possibility would be to cut them higher up because you can not go any lower than the body line cuz of the way the LS bumper curves back in after that line. You can tell from the pics that he cut on the body line just like I did. The other thing that I noticed is that I did not have to modify my absorber at all for it to fit back in place
