Yeah, I need to send mine in to get the version 2 setup. My old one started acting up a few months back, so I requested a replacement. They said I can get a brand new set up.

 

Already ordered replacement system. Should get the defective one mailed out tomorrow.

 

I got the updated one, but never got around to posting it. Heck of a lot easier to mount. I have mine held on the top screw of the wheel well. keeps it up high from water and so far it hasn't died on me.

DONT FORGET TO SELECT BASE ADAPTERS to 3157 for clear bolt-on setup
Also if you want to use it on 3156 - select additional option there

This is only little help NO AD ... because when you select BASE kit - you'll see many options to select ... it brokes my mind at all ))

Installed the updated one... Did some driving in VERY wet conditions.. had to have one controller replaced under warranty because it leaked, shorted out, and fried my parking light fuse. When I received the new replacements, which are supposed to be sealed a lot better, I mounted them further back, not right at the grille, and they work just fine.

and yes, gen 2 are a lot easier to mount and then connectors are way better.
