Yeah I know, haha. I'm going to have a lot of fun installing it when I buy it. The only other thing I've ever installed was intake.

Careful guys. I just got referred to one of their "dealers" when I showed some interest regarding buying one. I wont name the dealer just to be as respectful as possible. I was pretty much told they are TOO BUSY to take care of me lol. Then I was quoted like 500 some dollars for the header directly through the manufacturer.

Personally I think they are repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot regarding new customers.

ya its crap .. they say they dont sell directly. They refer me to a company they deal to. They are total douche bags and think its ok for a customer to have to try to keep them as a provider. Shouldn't it be the other way around. Ah well, we can just watch the company fall on its face and jump aboard the ever so common FAILBOAT lol . To be honest, if I were a distributor / manufacturer and had a customer interested in my products. Referred said customer to one of my dealers, and they were a complete ass to my potential customer because as they put ( they have to many projects to deal with a single header purchase ) I would send that customer a free header just so my business doesn't get a bad rep. I am giong to post on EVERY forum that involves a car that they make parts for .. Reference this thread about their ridiculous lies and bullsh*t they put customers through. AKA 6 month wait for a header dp combo. And also point out my personal experience with their unprofessional company.

Have you guys bothered to email JBP about the service you didn't get from their dealers????
You don't think JBP controls the actions of a distibutor, do you?
I have bought a standalone computer where I got shafted by the distributor and was promptly taken care of by the manufacturer, once they were informed.

Yes .. they tried to rip me saying the header sold on here for 315 or w/e was now 500 some odd dollars! LOL ya right .. nice try scrubs .. I had their website up showing it was 300 some. They tried to rip me after the crap i already had endured through the dealer. Then magically they emailed and said they would sell it to me for the 300 price. Well I told them too bad they had already lost me as a customer. If they want me to buy the rest of my car parts through them when I do the full out upgrades, they'd have to give me the header for free. Nothing else would make me believe they are anything other than scam artists.

Victory i've talked w/ u b4 ..ur a cool guy, but i'm sorry your cars stuck at a place like that. You were probably quoted a price thats NOT EVEN close to what you've paid. I'd tow my car out of there and take it to professionals that aren't out to rip people off. .

OR taken that money and bought an EVO or something lol

No. You are better off going to a bolt supply warehouse and picking up Grade 8 or better bolts with the same thread and length as the horrid allan head bolts that come with it. Get ones with a standard bolt head, and you won't regret it.

If you need to get new gaskets, here are the part #'s if you have to run to a dealership to get them;

manifold gasket - 9230949
collector gasket - 15235773

Hey guys,

Try dealing with the guys at USD Autosports, they are currently in a moving process, so they can be long answering their emails (send me a pm and i'll forward it to them).

Dont bash on ALL the distributors, some are good, some aren't. USD is offering the header at the discounted price.

i just e-mailed JBP, they'll hook you up with a dealer, or if you're lucky/nice they may sell you one themselves. if JBP sends you to a dealer, tell the dealer you were forwarded directly from JBP to show that the manufacturer had a hand in this. may help keep the BS down.

I'm just counting my apples here and it seems as if the negatives of dealing w/ this company out weigh the positives. Hell I'd hate to see what they are like to deal w/ if you have a problem after the sale.

Especially considering they are in CA which makes it near impossible to sue them if I'm wronged. Thanks for all your help. If anybody here does/ has done business w/ these guys. Your a braver man than I ! LOL

after lookin on JBP's website...it says that this header will fit a 2.4L g5 but it don't say anything about it fitting a 2.4L cobalt ss. Is that just fact? or will it fit the cobalt SS/2.4?

Anybody actually dyno this octopus lookin thing yet?

I dont see how having a header that bends tubing like that is going to improve performance. Hell the stock header looks like it would less resistance than that thing.
