I'll be in a Black SS/TC, and I'll look for you guys! I'll be running pretty slow Saturday, pretty much just GM Stage 1 power levels.

Hello! you should come out to some shows or track days this year. If it doesnt rain theres an open track for street cars saturday night at cedar falls raceway.

Might've been me, I dunno... I should check the thread more often. My car is just stock looking and black, and my license plate is "GIMPSTR" lol.. so its pretty obvious its me.

Lately I've seen a couple other black SS/TC's, a red SS/SC parked in Adel and a yellow sedan TC in Urbandale. I don't know any of the owners.

SPDDMN36 - It's cool, my daughter and I are socially awkward too lol. We just made a few passes, and has some issues with getting the car into second all three. I got the issues figured out though, seems as though bleeding my clutch fixed it. I was not able to get better than a 14.7 @ 105mph

If anyone is interested, I took my Cobalt to Marshalltown last week for the NQM AutoX on the gokart track. I used to hit those all the time in my Mustang owning days... good variety of cars shows up. We had the only Cobalt there though, but thats no big surprise. Car did really well!

That Autocross sounds cool I might have to try to get to the next one just for grins, though I'm not sure my car will pass the inspection, I'm in need to buy some new rotors for the breaks, starting to shimmy when I brake...

 

Spotted a Silver SS/SC over by Merle Hay mall, and I saw that yellow SS/TC Sedan again around there too.

 

Spotted a black sedan SS/TC cruising down 63rd south here in DSM.

 

any of you guys in the des moines willing to help me install my heat exchanger and dual pass when it gets here?

There's a few of us in the Waterloo area, mine only gets out a few dozen times a year. Probably parking it for the winter in a week or so.

 

Yea I'm parking mine for the winter also. Took mine to the track today for a test/tune day plus a street legal bracket racing at earlville what a blast.

 

Does anyone know of any tuners in Iowa? Trying to find someone to retune my car and have not had any luck.

 

Not new to the cobalt world but finally got my own last fall. Black TC coupe up in Ames. The ISU car club is beginning to get rolling around here so that makes for a good time when the weather starts to turn nice, would love to find fellow cobalts roaming around the streets this summer!
