the orange o-ring gasket that slides into the blower neck and creates the seal

looks like a donut. but orange, and about a 1/4 inch thick

But i am like 100% sure that the TB has a good seal....

Could the TB be limiting the boost with the amount thats flowing maybe cause its not at full throttle when ever i floor it?

? How is it not at full throttle when you floor it? If your tb is leaking it would throw off the MAF, hence the rockey mountains looking log, which I would imagine could make the car run a bit wakky. Just my guess.

Well the TPS reading is only at 88%, which shouldnt it be at around 100-98%? I pulled out one of my old machnic books and read up on that

Last thing that i did BEFORE any of this was when i took off the TB so clean it. that was it. Maybe i messed up the TB who knows. But either way the gasket has a good seal and i even added a bit of gasket maker around the edge to make sure of a good seal...SO with thus is mind maybe the TB has a small tweek in it?

second off. since when is tuning without a wideband a no no? the last two cars i did without a wideband that were curious about it were dead nuts on exactly what i wanted them at. m-dub's car and ralliartist's car. go ask them.

before you try and jump my ****, his problem is mechanical. not the tune.
P0171/172 are lean codes. It does not mean that the MAF is the problem. It means there is a lean condition detected(Vac leak, not enough fuel, etc..) Pretty simple concept. If the MAF is not scaled correct, that could be another problem. As far as you not tuning with a wideband, believe what you want to believe. If I wasn't a "Master Tuner", and you were doing tuning on my car, I would not let you touch it. I don't give a **** who you are and what you have tuned... Any professional tuner is going to use a wideband wheather its FI or NA... Did you or did you not tune the VE table? Also, as stated before, if there is a known mechanical problem (or any problem that is known of), tuning should have waited until the problems were properly diagnosed and repaired. NEVER TUNE AROUND A PROBLEM. So before you get your panties in a bunch and try to "call me out", what type of backround do you have in tuning EFI? I am a Double Master ASE w/ L1, and have documented accelerated EFI training/certification.

i give a **** what you are "certified in"

first off moron. the p0171/0172 codes are triggered by the fuel trims. where does the car get the fuel trim readings from? well smart guy, a ******* combination of three things. maf mainly, then map sensor, and last the air pressure sensor.

second off VE was shut off by Josh at OTT performance. the same place justin got the ******* stage kit from in the first god damn place.

see what happens when you try and jump into the game without any knowledge of what is going on? you **** yourself. all i did to his car was tweak the maf in 4 difference hz cells, richen the pe up, and disable 5 codes partaining to the rear 02 sensor.

"pro" tuners sometimes use a wideband. often times not. canned tunes. see how that works?

you want my background? fine

Hey Ryan!

Actually, he (imphat0260) does know a helluva lot, imo, not to say Area doesn't of course.

As opposed to me deleting this, HOW ABOUT, we just offer differing opinions in a calm and clear manner, to reach the best and most well informed solution. K?

Damn, Way to jump on the defense! First off I am going to make this post w/o calling you names and acting like a baby thats not getting his way (Thats you ) Your use of the word **** really impresses me. I guess I came to the playground armed with a stick and you just want to throw rocks... You are correct about the "fuel trims" but there are more than just those 3 componets that play a factor into setting those DTCs. As for the tuning w/o a WB, Totally disagree.. Don't know where the hell you came up with that. Any FI car should be tuned with a wideband... PERIOD! As for your tune you did on this car, you are right.. I do not know what you did, thats why I ASKED! Canned tune (AKA mail order), they are junk and often apply to minor changes that gain very little as they are designed for minor bolt ons. You jumping on the defense the way you did really says something about your character. As for your backround, I can write a list of systems I have tuned too.. Big deal.. You are starting to act like a "tuner" that tells his customer that tuning is "black magic".. Granted I have not been on this site (well atleast posting here) very long, but I have been around for quite a while. If people are happy with your work, GREAT! I don't care. I am also glad that you have some followers that are calling me names and tell me to leave.

im done helping people. period. i will help those who have come to me in the past with little things here and there. thats no big deal.

for the background of this whole story.

justin/fzn buys the ott stage 1 tune. 2.8 and 60's w/tune. no biggie. he puts the stuff on the car and asks me to shut off some codes. no big deal.

all i did to his car was simple stuff. codes, tweak the maf from 1800-2400hz, richen the pe up a tad, modify the adders to keep the car alive, and also change the point in which the car hit's pe so it is not tps or rpm based. nothing else. the timing, the fuel control, boost, the rest is ott's work. not mine.

you wanted a background, i gave. im sorry for jumping, it was not appropriate. stress is getting to me. i don't expect forgiveness from it either.

everyone has their secrets when it comes to modifying a car.

everyone also has their followers. i have also posted the history behind this car and what i did to it. nothing more, nothing less.

tuning is not black magic. it is an art form. different artists has different renditions of the same thing, and how they see it in their eyes. i just go about it in a different way than what people are used too. however, i am not the guy who crams paint up his ass and squeezes the paint onto a canvas.
