OTT tune worked just fine for me. I threw no codes so its nothing with the tune. I would say its a leak. could the BPV have anything to do with this?

tuning is not black magic. it is an art form. different artists has different renditions of the same thing, and how they see it in their eyes. i just go about it in a different way than what people are used too. however, i am not the guy who crams paint up his ass and squeezes the paint onto a canvas.
Its kool...

As for you Erod, I got more han a hug for ya big guy! Sorry I won'tbe at SEMA this year, just too much going on...

are you crazy......

you have a dam good one in your back yard.

**back to thread**

sounds like the OTT stage kit car had some serious previous issues going on.

random missfires, ect....

(EDIT: not saying the tune, saying mechanical if anything)

A couple of quick pointers, this tune has been on 20 plus cars with no problems reported and they have all made generally the same power around 255~260 whp while keeping things safer. People have pulled out 6~8 more hp by running more timing and leaning it out not much for the risk.

fzn, like i talked about in the pm go over all your gaskets and make sure you have a tight seal on every single one, you by chance dont have a dual pass do you?

Another thing. I was reading up on the Redline forums about the bypass mod where you actually disconnect the Vaccume line from the intake mani to the bypass valve...Word is that you get more boost...Any thoughts on it? Will supply a link if needed

Yeah, the bypass mod is crap. The tune should remove the boost limit which eliminates the whole purpose of doing the bypass mod anyways.

All I can say is my Area tuned car has been and still is running perfectly fine over a YEAR later had zero tune issues, zero problems, zero anything except pure fun!

Area tuned my car without a wideband (although we used a sniffer one time for an extended dyno session), he tuned my car for 12.0-12.2 my car sits at 11.9-12.3 at WOT (I do have a wideband now)...

So get off his nuts, you may know your thing Area knows his... we can all get along, there doesn't need any bashing. We are all here for a common theme, making cars fast. All tuners do things just a little differently... some are better at other apsects than others. I am NOT an experienced tuner, but Area helped me along with what he could at the time and continues to help me now! I have used variants of his tunes in several other cars out here, all running fine, especially the LNF car which is just to put lightly ***** out nuts!

Area has been a good friend to me and to others, to you "RYAN" or whatever you may be good but I don't know you, I know Area and that means more to me than peoples words!

I also do Fords.......those are weird compared to GM cars. Totally different train of thought went into the Ford cars. Voltage scaled MAFs, not Freq, Lamda based fueling (similar to new Bosch GM computers), Combustions Pressure Limits, Spark advance tables are more complicated, Modifiers for almost everything, Commanded Torque tables based on TPS, Controllable TPS system. And a computer that says "No thank you" a lot during trial and error. I find the Fords to be quite a bit more complex than the Delphi controllers in the GMs. It was a relief seeing the Bosch controllers speaking pretty much the same language as Fords.

As for the import car tuning, I live in a VOID here in Arizona where that is pretty much dominated by DYNOCOMP, and VIVID RACING.... hard to compete with them when they are in magazines every month and everyone across the US that dreams of being Paul Walker knows who they are.

Ok to the nut swingers i know both guys and there both great guys. they have solved there issues and to each his own. Everyone has there own way of tuning. Personaly it doesnt matter to me who tunes it cause i know no matter what route i go my car will still be running the next day. So please stop the name calling unless you actully have something productive to say.

thanks
