ha I have no power outside since I'm moving, had to use crimp and tap connectors (hence no photos up at the moment, it looks like crap lol) redoing the wiring this weekend to clean it up a bit

according to that link, it can only go down to 3000
There's a new chart that goes along with firmware 2.3 (which is what you guys have):
http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotboxsoftware4

I need to update the user's guide... If you try to change the RPM, you should notice that it is 1000 RPM lower than posted on the original guide...

Same thing. It's just shifting while keeping your foot on the gas.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend them either. If they work loose from all the vibration you could have some wacky stuff, like the 2-step engaging in gear.... Not good. Make the connections solid and solder them.

The pink wire is the power to all the ignition coils. We cut power to the coils, so it has to be cut and the WOT Box RED / BLACK wires spliced in.

Please do. I welcome improvements to my directions. They could always use clarification.

Should be. The test car was an 06, I believe. For the coil power, go by the pin location, not the wire color. That might vary a bit...

Hmmm.... That is odd... Maybe Jay flashed them accidentally with 2.2?

Ok.... Well, if you want the lower 2-step RPMs then you should upgrade to version 2.3....
http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotboxsoftware4

Ok, it looks like Jay read the site wrong and loaded everyone with 2.2 instead of 2.3. The differences are minor and you can upgrade your WOT Box yourself, if you want to. I've added a link to the firmware page for the Cobalt on the Software upgrades page:

http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotboxsoftware

Sorry about that. All new orders will be shipping with 2.3 now...

I placed it. What perfect timing. I've been having a lot of trouble getting my car out of the hole since I went turbo.

-I'm going to assume I can't update the software off the Mac platform can I? I'll have to duel boot into windows? Am I correct in this assumption? (Nevermind, I realize it's a .exe file now. Boo for lack of mac support)

-Where do we go to get the power cord again? The only way I'm going to be able to update mine is in the house. No lappy for me.

-Will the 2-step activate while the car is in motion? I.E. Can we build boost before dropping down the clutch? Give the car a little extra "oompf" to get past someone on the highway?

In that case, the car already has a load on it, you could just step down and let the car boost up, it won't take long. The reason for the two step is that you can't get the turbo to spool by just revving an engine that is unloaded, it takes so little throttle opening to rev the car up that it can't get enough air to spool. The 2-step lets you hold the throttle wide open and controls the rpms of the engine, letting you get boost before placing the car under load (launching)

In the 2.2 release, you could 2-step while the car was in motion. In the 2.3 release, I disabled that to prevent it from inadvertently activating on a hard downshift. In the next release, I will make the lock-out a programmable option so that people can choose to turn it on or off.

Let me explain it better, in the newest release, there is a 1500 RPM lockout. The lockout requires that the engine be below 1500 RPM before you go into WOT with the clutch down before the 2-step will activate. If you are above 1500 RPM (i.e. you are moving, it won't activate).
