Ha.

Owned this car for over a year not thinking anything.

All of a sudden I cam across this site and was like, 'what do you mean, stage 2'?
SO. MUCH. INFORMATION.

Apparently the previous owner of my car installed a K&N intake on it.
From what I can tell my IC pump isnt working (from what I read thats pretty common)
Some android app mathing out HP from time, speed, and vehicle weight said I pulled 212HP once.

I generally go easy on the go stick, as this is my daily driver, and gas is 'spensive here.

But now I'm thinking, what can I do to get more go without dropping a tank of gas generating 520HP on my way to school?

The LSJ is an 'effing power plant.

Also, sup?

I read the warnings about opening a new thread (wait a week and see if its still a good idea, etc lol) so I read lots of thread on this forum.

I'm pretty mechanically and electrically inclined, so I might rebuild the brushes on the motor instead of buying one outright.

Or buy one outright, repair mine and sell it.

Haha, I meant that I would like more power, but teh Stage 5 (or whatever it's called) kit might be a bit much for simple cruising, which is 90% of my drive.

I live in Northern Virginia, as those of you who live here know, there are 'lesser' individuals who drive stock Civic Type Rs and BMW's who think its an awesome idea to race coming from a stop light.

You will ALSO know that speeding tickets are like a tax here the way the cops go after people. So for I've gotten 3 BMWs, 2 Type-Rs, and 2 Audi (A6 and an A...5?) pulled over because I stop accelerating at 60... they don't, get all gloaty, and get pulled over when they fly past the cop.

Just a little game I play with the local foreign populace.

It also helps to know where the donut munchers park

ALSO. Thanks to this forum I figured out why my car has a weird idle when the RPM drops.
E.g I'm in traffic and I inch up, RPM goes to 2000 to move the car, I hit the clutch to stop, RPM drops to idle, passes it, goes to like 300, slight shudder, then stabilizes at idle.

Survey says: Dirty Throttle Body! (right?)

Yes, dirty throttle body. I already like you, searching first.

If you want a decent performance inprovement I'd go with a ZZP stage 3 kit and I'd say 2.8'' pulley.
ZZPerformance - ZZP Cobalt Stage 3 kit #ZZ-STG3K-CBT
Then I'd personally add an option B and a custom tune to take full advantage of the upgrades.
Full exhaust is a great plus too.

Then there is suspension. Guess to leave it at that for now though

Get ZZP S3 and the Dual pass, Opt B just makes bleeding the system easier. Get a custom tune after the stock one. Make 250 whp and I think you'll be pretty happy. Then you'll get borde of the power and go TVS or Turbo. Happy Modding.
