New guy

Hey everyone,
As you all probably figured out im new to this forum. I currently driving an 02 celica gt, i loved it when i first got it an now im bored as hell with it. Today i found an 05 ss at a small dealership, im just wondering if anyone can help me determine if its a good deal or not. Like i mentioned its an 05. It has 99k on it, the interior has some chipping on the buttons an all that which is minor little stuff i can get fixed and or switched for something nicer, my biggest issues (yes more than one) is that when i first start the car it has a really annoying rattle from the exhaust which honestly in my head is a heat shield but i may be wrong because ive only owned imports so im not sure if the same sound means the same thing with domestic an once the car is started the sound will go away after 30 seconds or so, also once running for literally a minute or so when i opened the hood i noticed a zapping/ electrical discharge sound from eather the top or the back of the engine i couldnt really place it exactly but it would be random an not a normal thing it would make the sound once then you would hear it again sparaticly im just not sure if this is as minor as faulty spark plug lines or worse? An the dealership is asking 6k for the car, what should i do?

Do not buy it for $5000, offer the dealer $3000 for it.
