To each his own, yes. Frankly put, I don't have an SS and getting my hands on one that isn't torn to shreds here is very hard. Plus my car is paid off.

But if I was given the right opportunity...

Sure an ss would be nice but when I originally got my lt I wasn't able to spend the money it would have taken to get an ss. I bought my lt right out so I'm working with what I have. It's easier to add to my 2.2 that i already have, then to sell it and start over.

I once thought that way. Dumped a couple grand in mods into my LS. Then saved my money and bought an SS. The difference is enormous. Not just appearance. Especially when talking about an LT vs. an SS Turbo. 110 more HP. Unbelivable suspension, braking, decent interior, upgraded exterior. So many little things.

The 2.2L needs a turbo bad, but that still won't get you near the power of the 2.0L Turbo. To make that much power you will need

I had an LT and i was planing on going turbo on it but in the end all the different things the ss comes with won me over to get a 09 ss and wow what a difference. For me the wheels, sunroof, rpd, suspension, body, rear disc brakes, manual, etc just make the car so much better for me. Yeah my LT was paid off but what the heck im happy lol
