Was nitrous worth it comsidering the loss of performance off the bottle? From exp was it thaaat much slower on a nitrous tune due to the hit in timing (off the bottle)?

IZ DEMAND ANSWRZ!

Short answer.....YES
The loss in power off the bottle is negligible, N20 done responsibly can yield great gains and is a lot of fun.

You know... Trifecta just released the 'Stage 3' tune for HPT or TF customization.
If you use that tune you don't need to worry about the loss of timing off the bottle, as it only pulls timing when the nitrous is engaged.
Plus it eliminates the need for an aftermarket TPS and windows switch.

Or you can just set up 2 tunes with HPT and switch between the 2 whenever you want to spray....

OP.. Nitrous = crazy gains

Wasn't you running it? How big of a diff was it running the same car on and off the bottle?

I havent had it in my car for damn near a half a year.. But when I felt the pull.. wow..

Lemme just put it like this... 3rd gear w/ spray put you in your seat harder than 2nd would without it...

nitrous FTMFW. ran up to a 100 shot in my car. let me tell you. race gas, 23* of timing and a 100 shot spins at 75mph lmao and roasted my drag radials from a 50 roll

Whats the best pulley size? Would meth be ideal to run and is a 75shot really pushing it? BlueberrySC is close enough to tune me so I know I will have a good tune. Plan on trading in for an Evo in the future so I don't want to dump anymore money into it, but hey it's still an option.

i ran a 2.9. no lower than a 2.8 IMO. thats just asking for too much cylinder pressure. start off with a 50 shot an work your way up. you will be amazed at what a little 50 shot can do

you don't really need it. its just something else that might fail. pump gas and a 50 shot will be super fun

Alright, well thanks. That also saves some $$$. Does it help cool the air coming in at all?

if being a ricer is using the most efficient power adder there ever is, then so be it. i am the biggest ricer ever.

yeah it does but remember it makes cylinder temps and pressure go up as well. i would usually be in the staging lane at about 134* IAT2 and cross the traps at 120* IAT2. the car would start to heatsoak int his florida heat though

never took it to the track on the 100 shot. on the 60 shot it went 12.9@109. highest trap was 13.4 @ 115

yep that trap speed was with the bottle pressure wayyy up there. lol like 1,200psi. it was fun as hell. 3rd gear on a 100shot was ridiculous

Did you ever have any problems? Is it really that safe to go over a 50-60 shot?

went through 23 bottles of nitrous in a year and a half varying between 60-75-100 shot. 60 shot was fun. on the drag radials it would just move out from a 40 roll. no spin at all. 75 got a little spin on the radials and the 100 shot just boiled 2nd gear. last compression test gave me 210-210-210-205

It includes all the features of the GM Stage 3 PCM but they are able to custom tune it.
