what are normal afrs with the 50 wet shot on gms2 tune?? any one know?

 

my car on the 2.9 pulley and gm stage 2 was 10.8AFR with no nitrous and 10.6-10.7AFR on nitrous

 

Curious if anyone is having problems with KR running 85-90 shot on 91oct.

tune: 11.5 afr dead on whole pull. trying to run 15-16* but cant run more than 12*
conditions: 3rd gear 60-110, 2.8 pulley, 135-140 iat-2, 14.5 psi, catless DP.

things working against me: 91oct, only 1 step colder plugs (7's)

Im gonna try heat range 8 and 9 plugs and if that doesent help then im just gonna assume that i cant run that much spray on 91oct. and bump it down to 60 shot on pump gas and run 100 to the tire with race gas. (120 shot)

any info is appriciated.

that damn cat **** for gas you guys have out there is terrible. i always used to run around 18* of timing on bottle with no knock on pump 93 octane

 

ya it really is ****!!! sometimes i wonder if its all 87 in the tanks, and they say its 91 lol i wouldnt doubt it.

i have access to VP 100 street blaze out the pump but its $7.89 a gallon. for that price i would rather just get some 5 gal pales of 110 or 116.

 

Having a little trouble with the bottle heater. Going to have some one install it but my Dyno tune is tomorrow morning. Will the shop just heat it with a torch or something to keep the pressure up?

Also anyone have any trouble with a leaking pressure gauge? The little cap in my came off somehow and a bit of oil leaked out of it.

Looked it up and the gauge is still fine.

 

Do NOT heat the bottle with a torch. It's dangerous

 

They are going to have to heat it up to get the pressure up for the tune/dyno. After that I will have time to get the bottle heater fixed.

 

easy way to get the bottle heated up quickly. fill up a bucket with hot water and put the bottle in it for a couple minutes. it should be around 1000psi then. thats what i used to do before heading out to the street races. heat it up in the tub and then just keep it warm with the bottle warmer

 

I'm having trouble with the heater, might be the relay? IDK yet. I've been talking to Snakes and I'm going to hook it up directly (heater itself) to a cigarette switch and heat it up before the tune/dyno tomorrow

 

Just make sure it's fused somehow, those heaters draw nearly 15amps.

 

or you could always do what that retard in the honda civic video on youtube does, heat the bottle with a torch at a gas station...lol

 

It will be. My plug was only 5amp so I will go to advance or walmart and try to find a 15+ amp plug. I figure if I just put a bigger fuse in the plug I have now I will just see a smoke show.

That one doesn't come to mind. Was it the one where it was going to race the ATV?

im gonna try m62 + bolt ons and if he wins im gonna spray 50 then 75 then 100. what ever it takes to beat him.
