I think you would have to have the PCM unlocked VIA HPT credits in order to do a case learn. Although I could be wrong, but it takes 2 credits to unlock a PCM a credit costs 50 dollars a piece.

Nope it can be done through the scanner. Its under the vcm controls, under the special tab.

Blake05SS I wont be back in that area for a couple weeks at least. If I am I will let you know. Do you have a wide band?

Figured I'd continue to fill you guys in

Enough damage was done to the internals that i have to get another new engine luckily though I don't have to pay for this one. Won't have my car back for about two more weeks and have to break it in for the third time since I bought it brand new...

how does one tell if the bushings are bad?

Ziptie would hold up to year round daily driving on a tie rod?

Jeff one of the guys here is a realitor. One of the biggest in Duluth/superior. I'll talk more to him.

Oh man it's 70-90 and sunny every day so far freaking nice. Although a little to hot.

Yes sir, the part that is being ziptie'd doesn't move at all. This is the way I have always done it, and it is also the way many many many "schools" teach it in the auto's world. there is always someone that will disagree, but it has always worked fine for me.

Bushings you can tell are bad, if you pull the boot back and shack the tire (like you would when to check for a loose tie rod) you probably need another person to do it for you. Watch where the tie rod connects to the rack and if you see movement in the rack and not the tie rod you have bad bushings

of course that means another road trip hoffa and hopefully it'll be good to go for a road trip to duluth when tommy gets home too

went in and talked to them yesterday after work. sounds like it was more than a blown head gasket. when they sent the head off to be inspected there was a crack in the block itself so that engine was doomed from the start. just my luck it'd be the one i get though
