Blake05SS I wont be back in that area for a couple weeks at least. If I am I will let you know. Do you have a wide band?
i dont have a wideband or anything why do u ask? and i will pry just go to the dealer in fairmont then its no big deal it would be really cool to see ur car somtime tho
good luck with the case relearn if you do it through hpt I spend forever trying to get the dumb thing to work lol. But that was right when I got hpt.
I wouldn't replace the whole rack, unless you know for sure the bushings inside are bad.
PS. I have the tool do it, and just use a big ziptie to hold the boot in place.
Figured I'd continue to fill you guys in
Enough damage was done to the internals that i have to get another new engine luckily though I don't have to pay for this one. Won't have my car back for about two more weeks and have to break it in for the third time since I bought it brand new...

Ziptie would hold up to year round daily driving on a tie rod?

Jeff one of the guys here is a realitor. One of the biggest in Duluth/superior. I'll talk more to him.
Oh man it's 70-90 and sunny every day so far freaking nice. Although a little to hot.

Yes sir, the part that is being ziptie'd doesn't move at all. This is the way I have always done it, and it is also the way many many many "schools" teach it in the auto's world. there is always someone that will disagree, but it has always worked fine for me.
Bushings you can tell are bad, if you pull the boot back and shack the tire (like you would when to check for a loose tie rod) you probably need another person to do it for you. Watch where the tie rod connects to the rack and if you see movement in the rack and not the tie rod you have bad bushings
anybody know how to get this tensioner pulley to fit on this stage 2 is the strut adjustable cause thats whats in the way is there a way to move it down so the bigger pulley fits??
yeah nevermind that we ground off the three spots it was hitting and btw i didnt need to do a security relearn or the case relearn car started right up and ran fine im really confused by this no cel nothing third gear it peaks at 18psi and friend says it feels faster idk if i feel that much differents but idk might just be me why wouldnt i need the case relearn this is confusing as hell did my car already have a stage two pcm or something do u think that the owner before me did it and took all the other parts off it and then just tuned the pcm to stock i have no idea

of course that means another road trip hoffa
and hopefully it'll be good to go for a road trip to duluth when tommy gets home too
went in and talked to them yesterday after work. sounds like it was more than a blown head gasket. when they sent the head off to be inspected there was a crack in the block itself so that engine was doomed from the start. just my luck it'd be the one i get though
