Footage appeared sped up to me. I agree he was driving fast and crazy but not sure he could make some of those maneuvers between some of the cars at perceived high rate of speed.

Thats one way to cuz hours of rush into a few min!

That isn't the reason I don't own a bike, it's the reason a lot of crotch rocket owners aren't given respect on the roadways though...I'm not one of those "watch out for bikes" people by any means, but if everyone was smarter, there wouldn't be any problems...obviously that won't happen.

I know I would be that stupid and I would probably wind up dead or crippled. I think someone should have clipped his ass though.

OK, next topic..I jacked my car up yesterday after work, looked over my suspension in the front, everything looks good from what I can tell (struts, steering rack, ball joints, axles, control arms...again, from what I can tell it all looks good)...got to the end links and the passenger side is in pretty good shape...doesn't move at all really. Tried the driver's side and uh oh...lol...the ****** just moves with a finger pushing on it...it's totally shot...I'm determined the end links are the culprit of my clunking. I have Moog end links that should arrive tomorrow (today now) I believe...I got the FE5 ones which are shorter...I hope those work...I found an old thread from Maven and I was glad I read it yesterday...because it re-affirmed my thoughts that the FE1 bar is fine with FE5 end links...because my FE5 struts and FE1 sway bar aren't working so well together with FE1 end links...I am pretty sure I should be ok with the FE5 end links. I will just have to install them (or try to at least) and see how they work.

Another question I have...when I do 75 plus...I'm not getting a shaking in the steering wheel, I'm getting really bad vibes coming through the front end...I feel it in the accelerator pedal and front end of the car...what the hell could be causing that? My front tires are wearing like crazy again, so I'm determined that Sears did a **** ass job with the alignment on my car (they did fine when I installed the Sportlines, but with the Pedders installed, it doesn't seem right and I'm not going back there)...anyway, I have an appointment on the 15th with Jeff the Alignment Guy and hopefully all will be better then. I'm going to install the end links this weekend and hope they work fine.

Stupid question, but would the end links be able to cause problems with the car being aligned correctly? Or, how about them causing issues with the shuttering at high speeds?

Thanks.

The Alignment Guy will ask you what setup you want to run.....so be prepared to tell him.

Know the camber and toe you'd like to run.

I'll go get a new pair in the morning before I head down there then...I need them anyway.

As for the camber and toe, I have no idea what I'm looking for...I just want the car correct...streetable. Not looking for what you've got.

I guess camber would be maybe just a degree or two negative (maybe). I'm assuming I have toe out right now because the insides are wearing faster than the outsides...either having them center or slight toe in? I really don't know anything about how to set that up. I know what each thing is (camber, caster, toe), but I really don't have knowledge of setting it up...I'll just have to discuss it with him.

One thing to remember is that my car is only DD. It is driven hard, but it is not driven in any type of auto-x or on any track.

-1.5 to -1.7 camber 0 toe in the front

caster in the front is non adjustable

rear is non adjustable without the use of shims/ which i wouldn't worry about unless you have excessive toe out/in on the rear.. toe out will give better turn in but at the expense of tire wear.

-1.6 isn't all that agressive, just an fyi. i've ran -1.7 since I first aligned my car. most of the time when you lower these cars around 1.5" camber comes in roughly -1.5 to -1.7

with slicks i run -2.0 and I want more !

you won't see to much accelerated tire wear from -1.5 camber

I've been running -1.6 for a while now, seam decent. Wouldn't mind -2.0 but figured that be a bit much for all the driving a I do.

yeah.. overall -1.6 isn't aggressive, and you really won't notice any point NOT to do it. overall it won't even wear your tires aggressively. With the front set-up your better off with a little more negative camber than less negative. they are inherently have a positive camber gain during corners, which is not good

the slicks that i run require camber, there is actually more meat in the inner tire edge than the outer edge, they will cord easily if there isn't much camber..

All right, I will probably go for somewhere in the -1.5 range then..maybe just a tad more negative...I'm actually done with pizza delivery. I can't take all the wear and tear on the car for the little money...plus it's way too stressful working 2 jobs and taking care of my son and having little to no time for myself. The 15th is my last day at Domino's and I'm off from Culligan that day so it's a day of automotive work to get my car's suspension how it should be....can't wait.

I'm excited for today (Sunday)...I got a package Saturday when I got home at 11PM that was sitting there waiting for me...my 2nd Moog end link...I was dumb and didn't think that you're ordering only one...for some reason I was hoping they were a set for $23.xx...lol, I know wishful thinking...so I received one a few days ago and was like "DAMMIT!! I wanted to replace those this weekend." So I hurried up and ordered a 2nd one on Thursday and to my amazement the 2nd one arrived Saturday (thanks FedEx...lol).

I'm hoping for about half an hour per side to get them done (depending on how hard it is to get my lug nuts off...I need to go buy a set of closed-ended lug nuts). I got the shorter Moog end links so hopefully they work fine with the SS/TC struts and FE1 sway bar...if I read correctly, Maven said that they should work just fine. If not, I have to order a new set of stock replacement ones or order the FE5 bar and insulators and clamps.

And yay! I just found a set of Blizzak MZ-01 tire for $180 on CL that I'll be picking up tomorrow and someone on MNSC has a set of 16" AR Estrella's for $100 that I'll be picking up....good deals. Now I need to find some lug nuts for sure. I'm all set for winter now too.

With power tools the endlinks shouldnt take to long. If your without a Vise Grip Alligator Jaw, things may not go so well.

I like the Cruze sedan, but that hatch looks badass.

Jeff, it shouldn't take that long, but I'm putting my time estimates up higher in case I run into problems or in case I just get frustrated or take breaks or whatever. I'm hoping it only winds up being about 15-20 minutes per side, but we will see a little later when I get it done.
