I have bought my last 5 sets through Tirerack and they were cheapest there. I can get you the contact info for my guy there, he got me some good deals I should ask him about the oz rims....

Sad, I didn't even notice that...I guess I would tell them $17k out the door then (at most).

Just curious, will all dealers wheel and deal with you? I remember back in 04 when I bought my 99 Saturn SC1, I was looking at a Sunfire at a Saturn dealership (White Bear maybe) and they said they had a no haggle pricing policy...will they still deal with you? I told them straight up, if they don't take about $2000 less than asking, I'm walking. Wound up promptly leaving after she told me that.

Where do you get tires installed then? I need a good place to install the tires without ******* up my wheels...I've had great experience with the Discount Tire in Blaine (I've gone there a few times) and Brooklyn Park (all my co-workers go there because it's literally a couple blocks from work and they always give great deals on everything).

I like 4 as well...I believe there's a red lip version out there that at least 1 person here has. I'm curious, would you use the blue just because or do you have any kind of color theme going on (anything else that is blue)?

I would color match the SS badges if it were my car, but that's just me...would probably leave everything else blacked out. So what is your idea if you go that route?

I also like 3 a little because it reminds me of the G5 GT wheels and I love those wheels for some reason compared to the SS/SC wheels.

I'd say no to number 2 just because there are so many others (including myself that have the MSR's)...I have some Raven Black w/ Red Pinstripe ones that I think will go with my subtle touches (red OTT street bar, red STB, tint [may go darker to 20% down the road], want to paint my rear drum black and front caliper red, black out my tails and black out my headlights as well). OK, so they aren't subtle, but I think it will look great on silver if I do that.

I saw an Audi TT that was silver with black striping down the center of it and it had similar wheels (black with a red pinstripe and it looked pretty sweet....that was somewhere between Ramsey or Nowthen or Anoka or wherever up that way on Friday and I think I've seen it once before).

ON ANOTHER TOPIC

Anyone have any idea what a shop like DB, MAP, Elite, or RS might charge to install the ZZP SC setup? I contacted Elite about it and they are researching a few things with ZZP to get me a quote. Just wondering what a shop would charge and hoping (wishful thinking) that it would be at most about $1000 to just do the labor of installing and nothing else (I'd tune with Trifecta).

06_ion, something I've been curious about, this isn't your DD is it? Because I remember when you had it at Elite for a while getting work done, now it's down while you do this...just curious.

Thats where I bought my MS3, and yes its no haggle, the price will not move. And honestly its a fairly fair price most of the time on NEW cars, not used. Used cars can be negotiated so I would go somewhere else.

I know the guys up here that own a race shop, Archer Racing. I have them mount all my stuff as they have the ability to mount up to like 24" and low pro tires. Down in the cities I'm not sure...but Tirerack has a list of places they use so you could ask them where they recommend.

My guy at TR, is Kyle. Hit him up and see what he can do for ya:
Kyle

I just called my local place for tires and the set of Z1 Star Specs goes for $1000 mounted and balanced. Looks like I'm going with Tirerack on this one. It's odd because my wheels were the same price as Tirerack and even included all the hardware that Tirerack included.

And to save you the trouble P, I just emailed Kyle at Tirerack.

$1000? dammn thats expensive, tires are what $160 each arent they?

TR is good at including all the crap plus lug nuts on wheel purchases. Luckily Archer is a TR certified shop too! so when my winter escape wheels came and some had the wheel weights fall off, I just brought them to Archer and for free they were re-balanced. Kyle got me such a freaking good deal on those winter wheels. I need to ask about the ultraleboners and some tires.

Just got final fantasy 1 and 2, wheres waldo and street fighter for the iphone... wheres waldo is NOT as fun as it used to be when you are little :P

The tires shipped from Tirerack will be $162 each. The rebate cancels out the shipping costs. The tires locally would be $213 each after taking out tax and mounting from the $1000.

gorgeous car...I really like the white, I think if I were ever get another one (or upgrade to one of these in sedan form) I'd either stick to silver or get black though.

Question for those of you who bowl...I'm looking to get a new spare ball. I'm aware of bowling.com, bowlingball.com, buddiesproshop.com which are all good sites, but anybody know others that are competitively priced?

I wish I could find another Hammer Everclear like I have only in 16lb (mine is 15lbs)...that's the clear ball with a Hammer in the middle of it if anybody is familiar with it...saw one a couple years ago either on ebay or CL that was $500 undrilled, but that's ridiculous.

I wouldn't mind the Hammer Black Widow Clear, but that's been discontinued now and is hard to find in 16lb.

So I'm looking at something like the Roto Grip Crown Clear. The reason I'm looking for a clear ball is because they will hold the lane a little (especially when shooting 10 pins)...If I'm a little off with my Everclear, most of the time it will compensate and hold the edge of the lane and I'll hit it 9 out of 10 times.

$74 w/ free shipping for the Roto Grip at bowlingball.com...here's a link... http://www.bowlingball.com/roto-grip...ling-ball.html

Still would like to find it cheaper...really could use a spare ball before this weekend so I can make some money bowling on Saturday, but that won't happen. My span on the Everclear has changed and it hurts to use it after a few throws.
